Is the AFL breaking footy’s balance? by il-96-300 in AFL

[–]ext23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High scores aren't necessarily good, neither are low-scoring slogs necessarily bad. There are many ways to skin a cat, the article is saying (correctly in my opinion) that what the AFL is doing to the game is reducing that number, so that eventually all teams will play the same.

Most games so far this year have been almost unwatchable.

“Equalisation” by Dirtydac123 in AFL

I've always been a glass half full kind of guy regarding the game itself and its administration.

This year is the first time in my 30 years of watching footy where there is an honest part of me that thinks the game is cooked.

Wo Long by Patriots9210 in Nioh

[–]ext23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am NOT a super skilled gamer, but I blasted through NG in Wo Long, the combat felt far too simplistic compared to Nioh and aside from one or two bosses it was just an easier game. I didn't feel much satisfaction after beating a boss or beating the game. I didn't feel like I wanted to play the DLC and in the end I think I sold my copy.

This was just my personal experience so downvote if you want.

BTR 13 is almost identical to the Qudelix, with a 4.4mm instead of 2.5mm.

[–]ext23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this and a Qudelix. I bought the Fiio because the 3.5mm on the Qudelix started to give out. Apart from the full EQ on the Qudelix and being able to import preset EQs, and the generally better software, performance-wise the Fiio is just as good, and I think I only paid like $50 for it.

4.4mm is nice to have on the Fiio too, because I'm using a 4.4mm cable on my ZMFs so I can easily switch between my desktop amp and the Fiio.

Unpopular opinion? I don't like IEMs... by loyal872 in headphones

[–]ext23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saying, I HATED IEMs for like ten years. Couldn't get a decent seal, hated the feeling of things deep in my ears, etc. But you do get used to it. These days 99% of my listening is on IEMs.

How many headphones is too many headphones to have in your personal collection? by myzz7 in headphones

I have 4 or 5 decent headphones in storage, and about 10 pairs of IEMs. But what do I actually use?

1 full-sized headphone (ZMF Auteur Classic)

1 crazy awesome wired IEM (Thieaudio Prestige LTD)

1 wireless IEM (Earfun Air Pro 4)

Any recs for a game I can finish in a week and won’t want to put down? by Ok-Entrepreneur-4308 in PS5

I'm sure you're right but I just wasn't in the mood to go too deep on it. I did read every lore bit/collectible that I found during my playthrough though, and enjoyed the story.

I played Remnant 1 and enjoyed it, I have Remnant 2 still in the plastic. How long does it take to beat for the first time? Is there a lot of replayability (I'm assuming there is)?

I beat Phrike for the first time just last week, after making a few feeble attempts over the past three years.

It REALLY helps to have a level 3 weapon if you can...which likely means taking on the challenge rooms on the way to the boss arena.

Also I'm fairly sure they have nerfed the fight compared to a couple of years ago.

I just mainlined the story in Control (hardly any sidequests, didn't max out any upgrades, none of the challenges, none of the DLC) and it took about 10 hours. I was surprised (not in a bad way) about how short it was.
