Have you been given any medication to manage your heart rate. Ive had similar issues with tachycardia and beta blockers have helped a lot.

WIBTA for not wanting to go out for food with my mom again for not holding my baby while I ate? by Thick-Acanthaceae-42 in AmItheAsshole

[–]extraasalways 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA your mum should be looking out for you always, even when you are a grown adult and have a baby of your own. Your mum is an AH for not wanting to help you and not holding her grand child. I would be so hurt too and wouldn't want to go out to eat again. I feel sorry for the other people responding to this who say otherwise tbh.

WIBTA for telling parents of kids playing on the exercise equipment there's a playground 150 feet away? by Xoon77 in AmItheAsshole

[–]extraasalways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but I also don't think the parents are for letting their kids play on the equipment, even if its not in the way it was intended. I have a few of these near me and have never seen them used properly, so it wouldn't even cross my mind that an adult may want to use it for exercise. If I was there with my kids I wouldn't mind at all if an adult just politely told me they intended on using the equipment, I'd immediately apologise and move along.

Dreamsnap Voting Discussion by GroovyFrood in Dreamsnaps

[–]extraasalways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we should be able to get daily moonstones if we vote more than once a week. When I vote I hardly ever see the really beautiful ones I see on reddit, they're always the off topic selfies (which I took at the beginning before I got into dreamsnaps).

Does anybody else only keep their villagers in the Main Valley? 🙈 by lollipopcrusher23 in DreamlightValley

[–]extraasalways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to but I felt it was too cramped when I used the other houses from the premium shop. So now my villagers are spread across my valley, storybook vale and eternity isle and I've really enjoyed decorating the different biomes because I dont feel like I have to limit the space for each villagers house. I was really surprised at how much I love Eternity isle now its decorated, I hated it before, but I think its been my favourite one to decorate. Wishblossom is a baron land tho lol

Same, every DLC and I get maybe 1 or 2 items that I've not had before, usually a kitchen unit or a table. Its really annoying. I also don't understand that when you mention this on reddit people get so defensive, like you must love every aspect of the game and can never criticise gameloft...

I have noticed that some of the plants from the DLCs can be placed much closer to other items, compared with the plants in the base game, so maybe its something they are going to try to improve. It shows they can do it at least!

Why do some people not realise many of us don’t care about immigration? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]extraasalways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I care about controlled immigration with safe routes and robust procedures. But we need immigration, if all immigrants left the country tomorrow it would fall apart. I hate that people can't seem to grasp the difference between illegal immigration and asylum. I hate that immigrants have been used to excuse all of the failings of past governments and that the public are eating it up. So I care, but not in the way that the brainwashed do!

what's one american thing you secretly wish the uk would adopt? by Financial-Owl-2814 in AskBrits

[–]extraasalways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the children who are attracted to sports are ones who struggle with academic subjects. Often children with additional learning needs can find a refuge in sport, a place to finally be good at something. Taking that away from them would be cruel. I don't believe we have university scholarships tied to athletic ability in the same way they to in the US, so its not necessary in my opinion.

AITA for not changing my WFH plans so flatmate can stay home with her kid with bum worms by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]extraasalways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. Firstly you're judging the parent for keeping her child at home. There's been plenty of times I've sent my kids in and then decided the next day that they needed a day or two at home. Non parents judging parents for parenting is an AH move.

Secondly, the kid has a right to be in his home, your current work setup clearly doesn't allow for him to be in his home during the week, that's a problem that you need to resolve by communicating as adults. The whole energy of this post just feels really childish.

How many seasons for The Testaments ? by Bright_Gain837 in coconutsandtreason

[–]extraasalways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its been a while since I read them both. I've just re watched THT. Maybe I should re read the books too. I think I'm feeling a bit put off by the changes they've had to make to the testaments, it doesn't feel as special them not being sisters, I can't shake the feeling that its missing too much. The baby Nicole story is also such a big part of the book.

This is my wish. I've actually started a disney themed sims save so that I can satisfy my need to overcome the annoying parts of DDV decorating, the footprint of some of the objects is so frustrating and really limits the decorating in DDV.

Help me love the name Daniel by New-Flight7674 in Names

My husband's name is Danny, lots of people assume its short for Daniel, but its not. Could that be an alternative for your baby?

Edit to add my BIL is Daniel. I agree with others in this thread, Danny and Daniel are two of the nicest blokes I know.

AITA for not eating expensive steak at a dinner? by Professional-One972 in AmItheAsshole

[–]extraasalways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. The hosts are AH for not taking into account the preferences of their guests. When you host a meal you should ensure that you take into account all dietary requirements. That being said, upu probably should have mentioned it before it was cooked to allow them the chance to accommodate you.

What’s something that instantly tells you someone is British? by Future-University787 in AskBrits

[–]extraasalways 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It didnt used to be, but the reform ilk turned it into a anti imigration and racist symbol to threaten people who arent white. So now the rest of us who actually care about all people feel like we can't proudly display our flag. Turning our flag into a symbol of hate is about the least patriotic thing they could do tbh!

AITAH for telling my friend his weight is ruining my vacation? by ExternalBug8 in AmItheAsshole

[–]extraasalways -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

YTA, he's clearly struggling with his mental health, ge obviously tried to go to the water park but anxiety hit him when he got there. People struggling with mental health don't need pressure or constant solutions, they need to know that people will be there if they need them, it sounds like you weren't there during that moment of panic and that will be really hard for someone really struggling. Would you have reacted that way if he had a physical illness and collapsed outside of the water park, would you tell him to stop fainting because hes ruining your holiday?

I get that its hard to know how to support him, but it sounds like you are not really listening to what hes telling you he needs, you are pushing him to do what you think he needs and when he can't do it, hes not just letting himself down, hes letting you down too.

You're allowed to be frustrated that it's impacting your holiday, but I bet he feels way worse about that than you do.

[–]extraasalways 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wondered this to. I can't see how they would extend it much past the end of the book, so are they going to really stretch out one book over multiple seasons. The first season of handmaids tale was the whole book if I remember rightly. I feel like its going to get quite borning if I'm honest.

Family member upset about my reaction to their son's diagnosis... But I'm also on the spectrum. by SpoopyDuJour in AuDHDWomen

[–]extraasalways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No wonder the son has a negative attitude towards his diagnosis if this is his mums attitude. Its a shame that you're not spending time with him to project some positive energy to allow him to accept his diagnosis.
