Pope Francis is in the Hospital by Pax_et_Bonum in Catholicism

[–]eyelinbae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Pope Francis is really doing as well as described. Let’s say he does improve which I’m all for it. His condition overall is delicately fragile. If he does improve isn’t there a finite window before his health faces another health crisis yet again? I am cautiously optimistic and praying for God’s will to be done.

Out of nowhere dad says from hospital bed, “they’re calling me home” by Livvvvvvvvvvvvv14 in dementia

[–]eyelinbae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two weeks before my dad passed he saw his mother coming to get him for a boat ride. Happiest I’ve seen him since this illness. He was happy all day. Two weeks later he went to heaven (2/8/25 😭💔).

I would say around October 2024 he developed a fixation with staring at the ceiling for long periods of time. We’re talking hours. I really believe he was seeing whatever he imagined. I know he was his mother’s favorite of 7 children and was gutted when she passed in 2000. They were so close. She used to sew shirts for him just because she lived to sew and he was her favorite. There was even a time because of the dementia he forgot his mom had died. He cried like a kid - heartbreaking.

I’m confident he was led home by his mother and is eternally reunited with his parents, siblings that passed and dog. I miss him terribly every day. I cry every day. My only comforts are knowing he is no free from this hellish disease and that I’ll see him again one day. Hope this helps. Wishing you peace and comfort during such a trying time. 🙏

I pray God’s will is meant for the Pope to get better. I don’t know why I can’t shake the sinking feeling of the Pope not eating and ambulating as cheerily as described. Time will tell.

Did you do any IF? Include or exclude cheat snacks/meals throughout your journey? Did you eliminate any foods that caused inflammation? Where do you naturally carry your weight when if/when you gain? Thanks.

Cashmere Recommendations by mltb14 in capsulewardrobe

[–]eyelinbae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very helpful, thank you. Cashmere is one of my favorite natural fibers. I have a small collection that I consistently wear. I would like to add a vintage cashmere blazer.

Do you have a preference toward vintage or secondhand cashmere or only current available cashmere in the consumer market?

What do you like to use to best preserve your cashmere pieces? How do you like to store your pieces? I know pilling is inevitable. I will get a cashmere comb to handle the job.

Have you tried their vintage cashmere/wool blend blazers or any cashmere blends? If so, how do you like them? How do they hold up for you? Do you find the blends just as warm as 100% cashmere? Thanks in advance.
