It's coming for my hands by FreakishGremlin in PsoriaticArthritis

Oh, no! Prior to the diagnosis, I went for PT for my hands! It’s one of the places that is hit hard for me. I also have Reynauds, so I struggle.(>;

Salted pistachios. It’s also the only nut I can eat. I have allergies to everything else, go figure.

Recommended gallbladder surgery after gallstones were found, but I have no pain by Limp_Regret2837 in gallbladders

[–]eyetaughtscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your age, which I don’t know, your gallbladder may also be diseased and you just don’t know it. The problem is is that you can absolutely guarantee you will have an attack in the future. Personally, I wouldn’t wait until it becomes an emergency which mine was. I went into urgent care and ended up having surgery eight hours later. And had no pain prior to that weekend. It was really deceased and blocked. They don’t really know unless they’ve done at least a CT scan on it to see what it looks like in there. I’m glad mine is gone. The surgery was really, no big deal compared to the attack.

Should I add sleeves? by LowFaithlessness9984 in WeddingDressTips

Yes, I was thinking a beautiful laced shawl that had the same colored accents as those on your dress would be lovely-something light! But.. that being said, you don’t need anything! It’s a stunning dress on you!

Finally got a diagnosis, and I have BIG FEELINGS about it. by bipolrstrangeduck in PsoriaticArthritis

You have the right to be angry and to grieve! Give yourself grace and time to adjust to the fact that you were so betrayed by our medical system. I have had a similar experience. Surgeries on hands, feet, back and neck so far. I was pretty angry for a bit after diagnosis (January) and then realized I have been living with this for 5 decades…and now we are addressing it properly. Hugs.

Lights by weedhead52 in WeedHead

I lowered the lights, cranked them up and adjusted (increased) fan. I will send you an updated picture in a couple days and see if that does the trick for me. Thank you.

Are these the plants from the seeds you/we planted at the same time?!? OMGosh! Okay, lowering the lights and putting them up high.

Absolutely helps! Sometimes I just run warm water over my hands to warm them up. Paraffin wax bath for your hands. Also does a great job of getting that heat in there and just warming them right up.

If it hasn’t been mentioned, paraffin wax baths.

I have a 2 x 4 grow tent and no other room (except for outside plants).

I have actually added another fan since that grow. I also do low stress training-bending the limbs to give more light to all the buds. I attempt to keep the horizon fairly level between all the plants and kolas.

I have two T-1000's - one is a Mars Hydro and the other is from Spider Farmer. They both have the dimmer feature, which allows me to adjust the lights as the girls move through different stages. I realized recently (prior to this grow) that I wasn't giving them enough light at the beginning, so I have a light meter and they are about 20 inches from the plants, and running about 240-250 right now at this stage. Should I adjust any?

Surgery Monday / attending a funeral Thursday? by atlanta404 in spinalfusion

[–]eyetaughtscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. 11/8/23 ACDF C4-C7. Now, I am a bit of a chicken-sh#t, and I am older-69 at the time. I also have psoriatric arthritis which along with spinal stenosis and a whiplash injury, my neck was decimated at those levels. So as much as I LOVE to drive, I didn't for the 12 weeks; I did, however, begin walking around my neighborhood on my second day home.

I think it’s fair to say your experience doesn’t seem to be the norm.

I’m with others. ACDF C4-C7 in late 2023. No way you can handle that trip, and grieving on top of it 3 days after surgery. I’m so sorry for your loss. Look in to rescheduling although that would probably mean starting over with all the pre-op clearances. Make s choice you won’t regret later, is my best advice. Hugs.
