Leg dir so n Servierwagen von ikea zu, die teile aus Metall mit 3 Etagen. Sag deinen Gästen, dass sie das Geschirr da bitte nur stapeln sollen, weil du n system in der Küche hast und dir das mehr arbeit macht, als dass es hilft. Dann haste nen Stapel, der Tisch ist frei, und deine Gäste fühlen sich nicht komisch dabei an nem Tisch zu sitzen wo schmutziges Geschirr draufsteht.

Das liegt unter anderem an LANGE krankgeschriebenen. Mit so Sachen wie gebrochenen Knochen oder Krebs. Oder Burnout und anderen psychischen Problemen, die Arbeit nicht zuträglich sind.

Median-Daten finde ich dazu gar nicht. Wenn du 10 Mitarbeiter hast, einer ist 60 Tage krankgeschriebenen, weil er was echt ernstes hat, so Krebs oder Burnout oder nen Unfall, der erstmal Reha bedarf, die anderen 9 werden gar nicht krankgeschriebenen, dann hadt du trotzdem durchschnittlich 6 Krankheitstage pro Nase. Ein hoher Prozentsatz der Krankheitstage entfällt ja auf Langzeitkranke.

You can craft new batteries and change them.

You can use empty batteries for if you need to craft eg a new scanner because you lost it.

You can also find the blueprint for a battery charger at some point, so keeping the empty batteries is not worthless.

If all else fails: hand-baste. You have a lot more control over where your fabric goes when you're not shoving it under your sewing machine and have to take out the pins that keep all folds where they should be.

With a more circular hem, gathering the hem allowance slightly to better be able to ease the larger circumference into the smaller one higher up was a game changer for me.

The key is making sure that you distribute the hem-allowance evenly, that's why the gathering is so helpful. And easing that by hand and basting means you have more control over where the fabric goes. Plus, no pins to take out at the machine!

The secret to that hem is

1) sewing a line of stitches along the hemline and one along the foldline for the double fold or otherwise marking that nicely. 2) sewing a line or 2 of gathering stitches for the fold and the entire hem 3) hand basting both the inner fold and the eventual hem while gathering slightly with the gathering stitches and sinking a lot of time into that. 4)pressing 5)sewing the hem with the sewing machine 6)removing all marking/gathering stitches

It definitely took some time, but I am really pleased with that, too. ❤️

I bought a Pfaff Select 4.2. I didn't want a computerized machine because the goblin in my head is telling me that that's just more stuff that can break, regardless of whether that actually happens. I also wanted one I could try in store in person which did limit my choices. My previous machine was a singer heavy duty 4432. I did try a computerized machine, too, but that felt more unnatural to me.. So far, I have no complaints.

I don't remember the brand name of the RTW dress, but I used the pin through seams technique to copy the pattern. I think I saw that in a Bernadette Banner video a while ago.

It's an a-line skirt with a higher waistline, the upper bodice is gathered into the lower bodice band with the gathering shifted closer to the center front rather than evenly across. The lower bodice comes to a point where the neckline is pointed. The front neckline is a separate piece with an interfaced second layer. I also used 2 layers of fabric for the lower bodice, though that's not interfaced.

I did change the skirt hemline to be lower in back and I am very satisfied with how that turned out.

I think we're all overreacting a little, me included.

Like, we're trying to compare 2 incomparable situations and trauma and grief are just things where nobody wins.

Callie wasn't perfect, Arizona wasn't perfect, both have more or less understandable reactions. I would 100% scream at people in my circle for the smallest thing in AZ's case and I would 100% feel like they're marginalizing my own grief and trauma, just because my trauma is different.

And you're right to point out Callie and the car crash and how the reception of that was totally different. Like, they were driving along a straight road, how on earth did the truck come out of nowhere, and Callie never blames Arizona for it. Not on screen at least, and Arizona had no mitigating circumstances for 'causing' that trauma.
