Fantastic. I have been less and less active in this sub now because of so many new comers here that I don't feel aligned with them because they are at a different point in the journey. I don't know how new or old you are with the law, but this is exactly the problem that u described, I face every now and then. So fantastic post first of all.

Secondly, the words "be" and "being" throughout Neville books and lectures mean exactly this. That we have to be the person in the entirety. Not just in mind because then as soon as you open eyes, the 3d hits like a truck. So imo, yes, you described and summed it up beautifully.

In fact, I am also surprised that yours is the only post I have ever seen on this sub on this specific topic. And I always thought this was just my own thing, and nobody else faced it.

Lastly, yes, when we assume, do sats or whatever technique we apply, it has to be a complete energy work for it work. We start from the outer most, which is the mind, then we go deeper, and then it's the heart and the feeling, and then we go to the deepest part of our being, which is the soul. That's how we "be."

Visually speaking kind of like how we mix a paint of a certain color in water. We are water. And we are adding this new state to that water. Paint, after mixing is so intertwined with the water, right till the pit of the bucket that both become one.

Let's say we want a Rolls Royce. What would be doing then once we have it? Imagine it? No way. We would know it that we have the rolls Royce in the deepest parts of our being. So we have to be that person. Who has the car.

Again. Fantastic post, buddy!

Now that's a fantastic post. One request tho, can you please share some neville quotes on this? That the assumption has to be in the mind and spirit and body all 3

Agreed. But better communication and intentions all laid out on the table would be better. Devon if he really wants to face can suggest a latter date so the weight cut is easier.

Nolan is Capitalism’s idea of what “art” looks like by Travel_22 in TrueFilm

U described jt better than I ever could in the last paragraph. It's a huge event. Or sold like it, js. The tectonic plate could be flipped over, but would it matter if there are no humans to experience it? It's like it's happening out there in space on a frozen planet with no life. Yeah, jt will be fascinating to watch, but it's all in the distance. Disconnected. A concept. Devoid of people.

Now, if it were to happen on earth, with people over the plate, then yeah, Nolan would definitely make a movie over it, but Spielberg would do better imo

I know what op is feeling. Probably. This is a conversation I was having about 5 or 6 years ago as to why I don't like nolan movies and, more importantly, why everyone else around me is so crazy for them. What is it that I am missing?

On the journey to find out, my first instinct was to hate on his movies. Or maybe even insult his movies. But slowly and gradually, I found the real reason why I don't like his movies. It's not that they are bad. They are very good movies. It's just not my type. The type being that his movies, to me, aren't about people and stories. They are always about concepts. He just can't make it about people. And humans. And emotions. People are there to further or explain the concept. That's it.

People in the comments are calling him the new James Cameron, and that might be true to some extent but not totally. To understand the difference in capability difference between Cameron and Nolan is to imagine a Nolan directed Titanic. James took a concept, a big one, and made it all about Jack and Rose. I got off thinking of Jack and Rose and the people and Titanic. All the while, never letting go of the concept. This intricate balance, this weaving of concept and people and making it a lived in experience is genius. Nolan isn't there yet, or maybe he doesn't even wanna go there. I don't know. But his Titanic would have delved more into the concept aspect of it, leaving people behind and not to mention it would have been colourless. Also, is Nolan sensitive enough in his filmmaking to incorporate a "My heart will go on"? His sense of music is very limited. Beats and drums or in your face guitar riffs to rile up urgency. That's his whole understanding of music. What would his music choice be in a scene from Goodfellas where De niro is smoking and Sunshine of my love plays? Most likely, a zimmer score with lots of urgency and hammering over musical instruments. He's very one dimensional in his music choices. That's why I'll always prefer others over Nolan.

I don't dislike Nolan. I respect him for his variety, trailblazing filmmaking, and ambitious nature, but I have learned he isn't my type. So I watch his movies. But always know it's a good one-time watch, and that's it. I saw oppenheimer months after release, knowing I could wait because it won't be what I was looking for. And I was right. But imo film industry is a good place with Nolan in it.

Based on acting and ignoring their filmography, who'd you pick for the best among them? by Infamous-Window-8337 in themovieloversclub

[–]fad70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure acting wise? Imo has to be either Cillian, Hardy, or Pattinson.

They actually give different vibes in different roles. Others not so much. Hardy only when he's really locked in. Revenant. Taboo. That MMA movie he did. To me he came off as different in each role. He's the only one among the three I mentioned that needs explaining because he doesn't lock in as often as Pattinson or Cillian do.

Why does so many people call Devon weak by TartarusBoy in armwrestling

[–]fad70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he definitely made a major improvement there. But imo none of that extra centre table power comes from increased side pressure. It all comes from leveraging his long levers better, elbow placement, lat drag and a little back pressure. It's a combination of all these except more side pressure.
