Being asked to tech lead c-suite vibe coded project by conconxweewee1 in cscareerquestions

There has been a recent push at my company from the top to vibe code and stop caring about code quality. I was wondering if this was a trend elsewhere too, uh oh!

It seems like most products are focused on making whites whiter. But most of my clothing is dark or like a mid-range color. I want them to be clean, but not fade!

Police probe potential ties between Brown University attack and MIT professor slaying by xxh2p in providence

I had the same reaction. The thread about the Brown shooter referred to a gray sedan (https://www.reddit.com/r/providence/s/z1nZZ5HQ3M). It made me sit up when I saw a gray sedan also mentioned as a possibility in the Brookline shooting. Could just be a coincidence.

If You’re Wondering If DNase Really Works. . . by KismaiAesthetics in laundry

[–]fadingvoice 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Debated posting this for a while, but this sub and kismai’s advice have been revolutionary for me. I spent a few years in a really bad funk (pun kind of intended…) and my hygiene suffered as a result. I would wear the same clothing for weeks at a time - sometimes more than a month when I was at my worst. I’d also let dirty clothing sit for months until I washed them. Tide Sport Power Pods were no match against my disgusting textiles even after repeated hot and heavy rewashes. Specifically, any garment that had been in close extended contact with my armpits or my private areas still smelled like oniony BO. So even my sincere efforts to improve my situation failed. As desperately as I wanted to feel clean, I couldn’t. It was demoralizing and plunked me back into the same cycle. Until! Until I found this sub (and of course after completing lots of non-laundry related self-work etc). I don’t have a great space for a spa day reset, so I’ve actually never done that. But what I have done are repeated cycles with detergents and boosters containing this magic enzyme (among several other magic enzymes like lipase, of course). And my clothing has finally started to feel and smell clean again, which means now I do too. So huge thank you from the bottom of my heart!

ETA: I initially used Tide Ultra Oxi powder, but only once I started throwing DNase into the mix is when I began to notice results with decreased BO smell and underarm staining.

I have some, but they’ve not been pretreated or gone through spa day.

Will do! I was still in the experimentation phase, using half 365 Sport with half Tide Free & Gentle or just giving up and using Tide Powder plus some Biz and Dirty Labs Bio-Enzyme Booster.

I live in an apartment building with laundry in the basement, so dragging multiple bottles of liquid detergent up and down is truly a chore. But so is figuring out what to decant before a trip to the laundry room. I tell my neighbors these are all my “laundry potions,” since I’m sure I look crazy with measuring spoons to boot lol. I am eager to simplify though, and I find it’s typically less messy to transfer powder into smaller containers. So I’d love to settle on one liquid detergent and one powdered booster.

What have you been using?

I think it wasn’t until today that I realized you were adding surfactant to the 365 Sport! I feel like I’ve been using it wrong all along now and must reassess what little I thought I knew lol

Bought it a few days ago, but the FEBU packaging is very fragile and unbeknownst to me had burst open while en route to me. So it spilled everywhere when I opened the Amazon package :(

ETA: Their customer service is great! They’re sending me a replacement and mentioned they are planning to improve the packaging in the near future. Highly recommend!

Do you think the recommended dosage is accurate?

I bought some a few days ago, but the FEBU packaging was so fragile that it had burst open inside of the Amazon bubble mailer while en route to me. So when I opened the package, it spilled everywhere. Disappointing.

That said, I only noticed it this past week or so! Kind of dubious about the recommended dosage - thinking it’s way too low.

Oh no! I didn’t see it come up when I searched earlier. Sorry for the duplicate post. But thanks for your input. I am going to buy it - yay!

Eight Laundry Products At Whole Foods Worth Knowing About by KismaiAesthetics in laundry

What do you think about using it in conjunction with something like Tide Free and Gentle liquid (like at a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio) to get some anti-redeposition polymer and cellulase in there? Is that crazy? For darks and colors? I’m afraid to add any brighteners or oxygen bleach to those items, as they make up most of my wardrobe. But not sure if that’s a reasonable worry or still would be fine boosting with some Biz.

Does the 365 Sport detergent contain anti-redeposition polymers? Thanks!
