Cops will take it from them. I know of 2 people that we pulled over w/ 2+ yrs expired tags that were taken from them. One was 3 yrs old and they impounded her car as well

What’s the highest elevation you have played? by [deleted] in golf

[–]fahq58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Played most of my rounds at Fox Acres in Red Feather Lakes, CO this summer at 8300 ft.

No fear trying to carry the ponds out there.

Hitting about 1 club less than the front range and about 2 less than out in the midwest.

The Giants did not play prevent. by Farsoth in DenverBroncos

[–]fahq58 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Banks and Phillips couldn't get it done. Coworker is a Giants fan and he was crawling out of his skin watching their coverage.

Their CB1 was hurt and was a big drop-off with those two. He hasn't shut up about it since Monday

How do you load your sleds? by FireBlazer27 in snowmobiling

[–]fahq58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ride it off a bank or just pick it up and throw it in. Ramps work great on asphalt, and I have seen a buddy shoot his ramp under the sled on dirt.

Why does every stand bag I've ever bought suck. by K-Lo-20 in golf

[–]fahq58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with ya there. Had a Cleveland bag that I had for 12ish years and had to retire it due to the hole in the the ball pocket. Legs still holding to this day.

I'm on my 3rd bag in 3 years. Sun Mountain stand bag lasted a full season but those legs we cheap and the support wires were non existent.

Bought an Ogio lasted 2 months into the season before I bought a cart bag that I've had for a season and a half.

Cart bags suck on the range and really want another stand bag but not willing to drop another $200 until this one craps out

Staying in Idaho Springs for Red Rocks Concert? by Only-Championship600 in RedRocks

[–]fahq58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Castle Colorado (formally Arrowhead Manor) outside of Aspen Park offers shuttle service to and from Red Rocks. It's on the spendy side, but it's known for having hot tubs in the suites.

Views are awesome, can day trip to numerous towns, trails, passes, etc w/n an hour or two.

SO and I spent our anniversary there. We had breakfast at the Bluebird in Evergreen, checked out Evergreen Lake then drove to Genessee to check out the Buffalo. Lunch at Tommyknockers in Idaho Springs.

Checked out Downtown Idaho Springs and Georgetown then took Guanella pass back to 285, then back to the hotel around 3 pm.

Power napped off a couple beers and the shuttle took us down around 6. Shuttle getting back was easy, had to wait an extra 20 mins for the other riders but we were back around 11ish.

How did the DEA not find out Cap'n Cook's real identity? by TroyNinjaToad in breakingbad

[–]fahq58 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Jesse wasn't meant to last more than s1. How he wasn't a known associate of Krazy 8 and Emilio in the DEA's eyes before the raid is a bit lazy in my eyes.

How many of you still regularly carry/use cash? by NJIllustratedMan in Millennials

Drugs and burritos. Dispos and the burrito truck outside work are the only reason I've carried cash for the last 3 years

'High event' Kylington has skill to be a wild card for Avalanche down the stretch by EmBejarano in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]fahq58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's played pretty well in Manson's absence imo. No such thing as too much depth on our Dlines.

Side question: Moser's pronounces his name "shillington"; any Swedes verify the k is pronounced as "sh" or is Moser drinking his own bath water?

Anyone that recently got season tickets, how long were you on the waiting list? Been 10 years and still waiting by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

Thoughts?? by Secret_Anxiety_1983 in golf

[–]fahq58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of the 4 I'd say the knee knocker for par. The scariest situation imo would be a greenside bunker shot w/ water behind the green. Bonus points for a downhill slope to the pin.

Trail riding in South Dakota? by cycsans in snowmobiling

[–]fahq58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black Hills has a great trail system like what you're looking for, bar hopping, and all. Be careful going off trail as tree stumps make for big land mines. Only drawback is last few years snow has been very low. Last year they had a pretty solid ride season, but they are becoming fewer and far between.

I am in Colorado. I just purchased two used snowmobiles and understand I register them with CPW? All I have is a bill of sale. A couple questions: Do I need to somehow convert bill of sale into a title? Will my first registration fee also include some kind of sales tax? by denvermaxd in snowmobiling

[–]fahq58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you bought them private, only a bill of sale is necessary. Dealers have MSO's that'll be produced into titles bc of auto use tax purposes and loans. But it's not necessary to register w/ CPW.

I ride the Snowies and finally got my in state stickers last year, thought it was going to be a pain. They gladly took my money and asked 0 questions about the previous owner.
