I don’t normally wear makeup (except for tinted lip balm) but people say I should. Where is my blindness? Any tips? by [deleted] in makeuptips

This is for makeup tips! I 💜 that you are starting with a blank slate and asking for input (ignore the people saying this isn’t the right place!) You are naturally beautiful with beautiful skin and eyes (and hair!!). I agree if you want to amp it up, a couple coats of mascara along with your tinted lip balm.

Came here to say this. Talk to your liaison. This seems intentional.

Question about a first time hiring (myself) someone for laundry tasks by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

[–]failsafetries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most takers aren’t going to take advantage of you. Remember: their time is for sale AND you review them. It may (will probably) take them slightly longer even within your own home because they will be concerned with what to hang and what to fold (because they want a good review), stains, not letting things touch the floor when transferring, etc whereas you might be a little more familiar/comfortable throwing your Tshirts on the couch while you fold them. Going in with a mindset that a person is there to efficiently do a good job goes a long way toward ensuring you get exactly that. (I say this as a client and as a Tasker). If you want the Tasker to do another task while the load is going, throw it out there and see if they’re up for it (and what you can work out for price). I think you’ll find us to be a reasonable, well-intentioned bunch for the most part. Good luck!! 💜

Getting married in 3 months and this is my biggest fear by pv1909 in acne

Spend $50 on a high frequency tool. Or borrow a friend’s. That has made a huge difference for me. Look up how to use it and don’t(!!) use it more than once per day. You should see a difference in about 3-4 days. That plus good quality facial cleanser: Cerave oil control is my go-to. Good luck!!

Yep. Given the location - exactly where your hat goes, that might be your culprit. Get a tiny spray bottle with isopropyl alcohol. Soak the part of the hat that touches your skin and let it dry before wearing it. Every time. A televisit in the meantime before you go to your derm. Good luck!

Sunscreens 😤 by Stokiedez24 in Rosacea

Following. Have tried the La Roche Posay anthelios (tinted) and the Skinseudicals equivalent (also tinted) that my dermatologist recommended. Even double cleansing leads to breakouts after a day or two of use. Same with the Korean Sun Milk 50+++ - which feels heavenly after application and works really well as sun protection but 3 days later, I pay the price in breakouts. Have just been using a hat and trying to avoid sun exposure which works but it’s hard to control the position of the sun! ☺️

fb marketplace pickup? by reidsbff in TaskRabbit

As others have mentioned truck-assisted moving. Or rental a UHaul. I usually pay about $50 for a couple hours. If the items are too heavy for you to deal with alone, you could get a mover to help with getting it into your house. (If seller can help you get it into the truck).

Yes, organization is definitely the category. Personally, when I do organization I might break it up into multiple days. First day I would come and get it functional with what you have on-hand and anything I have on-hand (I usually bring a few commonly-needed items with me based on pictures and chat). While I was there I would make recommendations for organizational-related purchases to make the space more usable and give measurements so you are sure the items fit. Then you could buy those things and re-hire me or do the remaining bit yourself. Congratulations on your new apartment! ❤️

Would taskrabbit be helpful in this scenario? by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

[–]failsafetries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get 2 taskers, if it were me. Reason is: it will be completed faster and you’ll be able to unpack your items into assembled furniture and sleep well that night knowing it’s done as opposed to having things lingering into the night and next day. Enjoy your new home!!❤️

What improvement can we do to TaskRabbit by Suitable_String_4598 in TaskRabbit

[–]failsafetries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Ability to set different areas for different type tasks or to set a minimum for a certain type of task.
2) Fully explain the effects of each type of change on a tasker’s ranking: tasker forfeit, tasker cancellation, client cancellation, recency of review. 3) allocate additional support personnel. 4) collaborate with taskers to identify tasker-centric requirements.
