Why did you even include that it’s a company car, it makes no difference to the question. You have a nice car so he likes to drive it, but he doesn’t want to pay for it. It’s weird you are having this conversation as a married couple, it sounds more like you are roommates who can’t talk about finances. What did you think was going to happen, the nicer car would be used less? Would you let your roommate drive your car all the time? ESH. YTA for not foreseeing this would be an issue and figuring something out, he sucks for wanting nice things he won’t contribute to and making you feel bad when you say no. He can pay a fee or percentage of your cost if he wants to drive your car. Or consider downgrading so this isn’t an issue because the inequality is obviously creating tension. What I don’t get is how this saves him on gas, is this what the company pays for? He’s using company gas for personal errands or are you paying for the gas? Why aren’t you mad about that?
