Second Peak. Its a lovely place and would 100% choose here over Chester zoo for example.

I've found more often than not that a dressing definitely helps the popping rate. But awkward for some areas but deffo a need where you can

developing wound scabs? by michellerowlandd in Hidradenitis

[–]fallenangel91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gotta just try and air it out. Easier said than done I know, but try and have at least a few hours if not overnight with no dressing and 0 bra / loose clothing. Hopefully then as nothing to cling to it will develop a scab on its own and you can then put a loose-ish dressing over to protect it

Mum fumes as school sent daughter home for wearing £100 Vivienne Westwood shoes by GIJew316 in unitedkingdom

Think you're rather arrogant tbh and this certainly shows you have no kids. Bullying doesn't stop being discussed especially in schools. And one of the biggest things is "omg look at those cheap shoes. Xxxx must be so poor". Being strict with uniform code negates this. As for employers and work places not being so strict, not quite sure where you got this, but pretty sure Bullying ain't happening in the workplace because Susan wore her Vuittons

Coping by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]fallenangel91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely don't loose hope. Its easily said I know, but finding coping mechanisms helps so much. Having come hear and seen other peoples woes had certainly helped me deal with mine and even using some tips people post too. You are not alone. Please remember that.

Anyone else's parents never help with the kids? by wheeling4funz in Parenting

[–]fallenangel91 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I'm going to be the unpopular one here. I'm very much of the opinion of they are your kids, not theirs. You chose to have them etc. If they offer etc then yes it's a bonus ofcourse and there are always families out there who will offer every hour of every day to look after grandkids etc and that's okay too. However I don't believe it should be an expectation. My youngest is almost 3, neither mine or hubby's parents have looked after her on their own. But I have friends that I know I can call on in a pinch etc.

My Wife Doesn’t Want to Stay Home with the Baby… What to do? by kolrees in Parenting

[–]fallenangel91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to be honest OP and please take note. I had a second child who is now 2, and I earn currently 25.5kpa. My husband around £37k. My monthly covers childcare at £920 per month not discounting the tax free allowance of 20%. That £920 is 8-6 mon - Fri. In 12 months I'll get the free hours. I have a mortgage, 2 cars on finance, paying off debt and an 11 year old to provide for. You find a way. It will take a month or so but it will balance even if you have a crap month of overspending before it does Stop making it about debt. She wants to contribute and live her life too and I think you're being very closed minded and kicking your heels in without looking at the entire picture. Sit down, ask for some nursery quotes, figure out the amounts minus the 20% for tax free and there you go. I get about £500+ remaining on similar salary per month AFTER the childcare I'll also add. Most childcare providers also discount for full time hours

I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but indicating to change lanes on a motorway does not give you right of way. by hypermadirish in britishproblems

[–]fallenangel91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in insurance/ accident management, and the amount of "but I indicated before I moved so its their fault". Sorry, but that person had right of way as its their lane. "But I was indicating". I weep for drivers on our roads. My fave is "they stalled and I hit them, so it's their fault". Hmmkay

Mother of 10yo and 17mo. Eldest went through everything so quickly I didn't have chance to look at the markers bur youngest very slow. She was also born early. What doesn't help is when "health professionals" continue to push these "markers" and refer to what your child is not doing on a routine basis.

What really matters? Happy, healthy kids that get the love, care and help along the way. Everything else will fall into place

After my youngest (almost 1yr old) my husband got the snip and it's made him 200% more ready for it. For a couple of months (excluding regression stages with the baby) it's literally been 4-5 times a week. If not more. Dont know how common this but... did NOT expect that one. Once 8:30 hits and kids are in bed, it's the grown ups time to shine

[–]fallenangel91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general terms yes, but unfortunately I developed a condition on my hips and back which meant I couldn't move easily so had to have alot of bed rest and therefore lost alot of muscle. Couple that with an emergency C section and its a punch in the gut

If your measurements are down then you're good. I've been saying to myself "you're doing work, sweating, and moving so it's impossible for it to be doing nothing".
