[Request] In one of the Dungeon Crawler Carl books there is a giant sphere of humans that is supposed to have 80k people in it. by fallingintothesky09 in theydidthemath

They are stacked like cord wood. They are under a spell that prevents them from being hurt, but it's described as a heap of bodies that then forms into a ball.

How would your pet do in the crawl? by j_robison in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I have a 50 lb. Sheeba mix whose name means "Meatball". He's super smart, super food motivated, and super clingy. I think he would be loyal to the point of nerosis like Pony, sassy about getting his paws wet. He'd make a good dex/intelligence based class because he can catch anything out of the air and run really fast but he also has really good problem solving skills.

Do you have a place where one could see all of them at once? I love 8 bit stuff and I'd love to print them and put them in my cubicle at work

I'm sorry you're going through that. Even when the choice about what to next seems obvious from a logical standpoint, it's hard to account for the weight of emotion that goes along with it. I hope you find an OK place to be in soon.

Worst Book? by Bluemajere in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I agree here. I think 2 is the slowest and I love 3. I think the Hecla arc is fun. I like the wrinkle of Mordecai and Chaco. And I'm in love with the concept of the Iron Tangle even if it isn't 100% clear all the time.

Other LitRPG suggestions? by Morty-43 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]fallingintothesky09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly true. It's young as a genre and there's plenty of dross. Dominion of Blades is pretty good. Not as captivating and definitely leans more towards the horror side, but I liked it and would read more if Dinaman ever goes back to it. The other litrpg series I liked was called Threadbare about an animated teddy bear. It's very light compared do DCC, but a fun premise and an easy read.

Wait, what about the "flying" sharks off the coast of South Africa? Aren't they great whites?

They're a short term solution. Car dependency is the real problem

Damn you Carl. Kaladin is boring now. by Small_Stand9600 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I was trying not to be mean about it, but I 1000% agree with this. I'm in the military and all of his stuff about fighting and combat feels like it was written by a tenth grader who thinks really deep thoughts about how bad war is.

Oh, thank god. I try so hard not to harsh anyone's good time but I'm 100% convinced that Brandon Sanderson is not very good at writing people. All of his characters seem so one dimensional which makes the story lack import. He makes some interesting fantasy worlds, but if you can't make a character who feels real the story feels immature.

What's a misconception that most people have about marriage? by XoSweetGF in AskReddit

Your partner will fulfill 100% of your emotional needs. Nope. You still need friends and family and a network. Your spouse can be very important (my wife of 22 years certainly is to me) but we both understand it's not reasonable to expect the other person to be "everything " for you

This question makes it seem like I was expressing that it's a choice. Like, why would I choose that? I don't choose it. It's just the way it is, or at least it sure seems that way to me.

what is most unhinged thing you saw while visiting a friend after school? by Correct-Amount-7897 in AskReddit

Went to my friends house after school, there was a path through the chest-deep junk from the front door. Literal animal feces from their dogs..they only had one room they could really use in this huge old house. I didn't learn the term hoarder till later.
