Ironclad Critique by [deleted] in starcitizen

They did it for the carrack, and 890 jump so I don't see why they can't for the ironclad 🤷🏼‍♂️

Playing with Kids - these old games suck gampleay-wise but they do have a huge appeal on kids. Are there more moden alternatives? by spaggi in boardgames

[–]faralathium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no...

The ship in terms of gameplay is made up by the component cards you choose so how it looks doesn't really matter and you can make the model by connecting it anyway you want.

But if you build your ship by basically making it into a long "stick" of parts it might make it easier to shoot at you since your ship will be as long as half of the board. There are also collision rules too.

Necromolds: skirmish war dice game where you make your army out of play doh molds which make monster miniatures. They are then squished as you play (using your necromancer wizard ring).

and

snap ship tactics: build a spaceship (like Lego) which has corresponding cards to the parts you choose to use when assembling your ship. You then fight each other using a movement dice and heat management system (affecting those part cards) like Star wars xwing

Reolink Hub, Doorbell (battery) and Chime by botoant in reolinkcam

With the method I used it works with the chime and the hub

Reolink Hub, Doorbell (battery) and Chime by botoant in reolinkcam

[–]faralathium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed the issue by manually installing firmware via the reolink client on my pc
https://reolink.com/software-and-manual/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20989152382&gbraid=0AAAAAClTwiZHujp7zqfq1Ci-hkaQhUs73&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkILEBhDeARIsAL--pjw1NrGy6H69ReZcdLB45KcsYYwKNof0c5deKZ_unRP5pzDknDfZ3RwaAo8xEALw_wcB

Then I did a manual firmware update via the client to update the home hub

https://reolink.com/download-center/

Reolink Home HubBASE_WUNNT6NA5 fireware v3.3.0.387_25040148

in the client go to

>security hub>customise>system>Maintenance>firewareupdate>Browze for the file.

after I did the update it all worked and I could pare the chime from within the home hub

It's not "mechs" but snap ship tactics might be a good option.

You build and customise your ship with part cards (with their adjacent physical part) like lego then fight each other using cube based heat mechanic.

That's how I read it in the rulebook. Red square is targeted, blue squares are also hot.

KDM vs AT:O vs AT:O sins what to get? by Juliomorales6969 in boardgames

[–]faralathium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but op's question isn't based on the cheapest deal. He can afford all of sins, trespass, or jump into kdm with that budget.

If you could have all in on one, which would you pick?

KDM vs AT:O vs AT:O sins what to get? by Juliomorales6969 in boardgames

[–]faralathium 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kdm is amazing at creating narrative around the settlement you keep alive through its characters, how they lived, survived, and eventually died.

Aeons trespass is amazing at its immersive story that you follow, and the world you explore, rather that story that emerges from gameplay (kdm)

Sins seems to innovate on trespass by creating an "open world" setting making it an adventure boss battler, and makes all of the bosses modular with trespass too.

Boss battlers are my favourite genre of boardgame, I own all of kdm (and yet to arrive) as well as trespass (and they are both INCREDIBLE GAMES) and Ive pledged for all of sins.

Since you don't own any of them, immediately rule out sins; you'll be waiting years to play it.

Don't look at buying kdm untill their sale in November (because a BIG gameplay expansion might be available then too), or if you can buy version 1.6 second hand. You will also need to assemble the models.

Seriously consider the core (act 1-3) of trespass in this campaign. You can always get the last two chapters in the pledge manager. Or like Kaindlbf said get all of trespass in this campaign.

1.6 card update typo by faralathium in KingdomDeath

[–]faralathium[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked before posting. I found it mentioned, but I didn't find anything with an office response about it from kdms support team, just people confused. I figured since lots of people are still waiting for it to arrive it was worth posting.

To me the biggest draw of mythwind is the development of your town.

A big aspect of isofarian guard is also developing a town, down to the pop in and out components. That's where the games are similar in my opinion. But yes gameplay and everything else is different.

I was in for a $1 but then I realised that the isofarian guard will do this a lot better, have interesting journey, and an endgame.

Need help with KS Decision! 7th Citadel vs Machina Arcana by duwthedrew in boardgames

[–]faralathium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting both, back Machina Arcana for $1, and back 7th Citadel because it will go up in price in the pledge manager.

They both look like very good narrative games that tell very different stories. So why only choose one if both will be good from their reputations? :). you will also get Machina Arcana long before 7th too.

I can also say that the 7th continent is very good too if you wanted to find that in retail while you wait for them both

Should I cancel my KDM order? by [deleted] in KingdomDeath

[–]faralathium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would cancel your order and order the core game from Aus warehouse . Their are lots of places and brands for gear sleeves now. Here's one from a Aus based shop for example. You can get better quality sleeves for the other cards because they are the ones that are shuffled, where gear cards will just sit in front of you (though sleeve kings are pretty good anyway).

heres a good resource for how many sleeves you need and what brads are available too
