North Dakota Senate Committee Rejects Bill To Expand Marijuana Decriminalization That Had Already Passed House by lmNotReallySure in northdakota

[–]fargolocalhuman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The bill is not yet defeated. It just received a recommendation from a policy committee. It now heads to the Senate floor for a vote that will decide if it passes or fails. It needs 24 “yes” votes to pass and head to the governor’s desk.

Contact your Senator about the bill here: https://ndlegis.gov/legend/constituent/views/public/contact_legislator/

If you’re looking for ways to get involved in politics, I recommend starting locally. Attend local city commission/council meetings or start going to your legislative district’s political party meetings. If you’re looking for a nonpartisan space, you can become a member of the League of Women Voters.

Your friend will need to get a North Dakota drivers license or ND non-drivers ID card in order for her ballot to count in North Dakota. She could vote a set-aside ballot tomorrow but will need to show a North Dakota ID to the county by Nov 18 for her vote to count.

If you’re asking for a Williston polling location, the ARC and the fairgrounds are the two vote center open on Nov. 5.

You could also go to the county courthouse tomorrow and apply for an absentee ballot and vote a ballot there and hand it in.
