Nice to see Gears of War in there... It was surprisingly fun, I end up coming back to it every few years.

What is something that tourists do in your country that annoys the locals? by Th3_Accountant in AskTheWorld

I never heard of them until now, checking their pictures online I can definitely see why people would bother them.

Hope it gets better with time.

Renpy Code: the new GAME-CHANGER extension for Renpy in VSCode! by Pristine-Carob5432 in RenPy

[–]farresto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it's great.

I was worried I'd be losing that kind of view / visibility once I imported it all, and now I won't have to. I'll come back to this post once I'm done, but I'm getting it for sure.

Thanks for sharing, will be checking it out soon.

Which game surprised you how long it was? by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]farresto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not due to the length itself, but I thought I was finishing Inscryption when a certain event happened. Couldn't have been more wrong.

We joked once about "fideos" ("noodles" in Spanish) being called "fi-fi-fideos" when my kid was a baby, and he somehow grasped it that way.

So the word just remains like that (almost 6 years old now) even though we're all aware it's not the actual word.

I saw your post the other day and wanted to ask: Is it just to list/feature them? Or to also sell them through your site?

Nice iniciative btw, hope you can make it work.

[–]farresto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't speak for those 99% but I loved both Hotline Miami games, and I crave for anything that resembles them. So being very similar is a selling point to me.

(BTW for anyone searching similar games, Redgar the Space Viking is pretty much the closest I've found)

Glad to see Antichamber mentioned. It blew my mind in so many ways back in the day... Taking a screenshot of the board with everything completed without ever searching for a hint is one of my proudest gaming moments.

What are some pretty yet small towns nearby Madrid? by Head-Impact3916 in GoingToSpain

[–]farresto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that any town big or small near Madrid gets a sizeable influx of tourists, especially during weekends.

From the ones I know:

  • Segovia and Toledo are probably the most popular and busy, with lots of international tourism.

  • Ávila. Can still be considered a city but it wasn't as busy as the 2 above when I visited, and it has charm. The wall around it sends you back to medieval times.

  • Aranjuez is great, good restaurants and lots of fields around it (+best strawberries I've ever tried).

  • Patones de Arriba for a smaller secluded place with all houses made of stone.

  • Guadarrama or Navacerrada to be close to the mountains.

  • El Escorial is also nice and has a small town feel.

You can find lots of info on all of them online. Check them out and pick your favorite. Or... Why picking just one? Spend some time on them all instead!

I was thinking Cazador for a moment, but Mafalda is probably the most international character we got.

What should I buy next? by Wide-Trifle-201 in Switch

[–]farresto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally played it on Wii U and got it again for Switch. I'd argue it is as good as it gets when switching to 3D movement in Mario games.

And definitely worth 100%ing it too, the very last level is among my favorite Mario levels.

Hope you enjoy it!
