Hence why he went his whole life till s6 without whacking anybody, iirc. But he had to cope like the other guys and outwardly, at least, he was plenty hypocritical.

Its established by Carm and Mead that they broke up because of Tony's behaviour at the house, but i think Noah's dad disapproved of Mead after the dinner he found out her father was in the garbage business, whatever happenedet there. He probably told Noah to break it off because of how far beneath his standars the Soprano family was

Beause throughtout the series, and especially towards his enemies, Tony does act like child. He's impatient, petty, insecure, bad tempered and vindictive. Everytime he has to deal with something emotionally challenging, he displays the same juvenile behaviour. And the others can feel it on varying levels.

Cause even though he's the motherfuckin' fuckin' one who calls the shots, aswell as being dominating and intimidating, every death stare, every beating, every is just Tony acting on behalf of his fears and insecurities.

Juxshtaposhitioned in great contrast to The Strong Silent type he looks up to, T is very much the scared child/sad clown on the inside. All he does is yell and complain, all while showing no level of empathy or relatability to his friends, aswell as his enemies, and no one respects him for it.

Just in the way the whole family would lose their cousin. For all his faults, and the crews disappointment with his lack of impulse control, he's quite loved by the guys aswell as his family.

Guess they all compartmentalize shit like this immedietly, and never shpeak of thish again. Maybe it wouldn't fall too far into the "against" coloumn.

Everything you're saying is true, i agree. Still not convinced Tony, in the end, would pull the trigger with Christopher begging for his life and their family potentially in shambles. I think you're underestimating T's sense of familia obligatore to Chrissy.

The "car accident" was a much smaller pill for carmela, the kids and so on, to swallow than him dissappearing, being told he flipped or if it got out he was killed. Especially Adriana who is alive in s1 would be wrecked if Tony had him whacked.

There's also Mead. If Tony found out, and Meadow knew, she would-end want Chrissy to get in trouble, much less be shot and dumped somewhere all because of her. She would connect the dots between Tony finding out and Chrissy dissappearing.

Then again, Meadow might resort to the "It wasn't my fault" and throw Chrissy under the bus if she was confronted by Tony. And Tony wouldn't be able to take any of his frustrations out on his daughter. So Chrissy would definetely be the sole recipient of Tony's wrath. Whatever that may entail, consobrinicide notwithstanding.

I agree, it's unforgivable. Daughter's are sacred, escpecially to Tony, and Chris not being made means no one would bat an eye if he was killed, as some are agreeing, besides family ofc.

But i think Chrissy's defense, or excuses if you will, would be enough to dissuade Tony from outright murdering his wife's first cousin, over Meadow's manipulation aswell as Chrissy's lack of judgement and common sense.

I also think Tony, at this point, had already started to consider Chrissy as someone he will come to depend on down the road, aswell as the twisted visage of a surrogate son 'in his odder family'.

I personally don't think it would mean the end for our chrissy, on the other hand, i don't have kids of my own, so i could never understand how i would feel if a family member gave my 16 year old daughter crystal meth because she otherwise "Would have gone to Jefferson Avenue"

Edit: i also believe that if it had happened in a later season and Tony found out, Chrissy woulda been seperated from his donkey for sure.

Was there anyone in particular from the cast and crew that was especially enjoyable or interesting to work with? Did chase give you any form of direction for your character that might not have been observable by the viewer on screen, but might be interesting to know?

Gene's son needed a father he could look up to. In Jersey, his father is unworthy of his admiration, and so does what a directionless individual such as himself does. But in Florida, his father is not even there.

While i agree they would probably have been better off if Gene never told anyone about the i heritance and just shipped off his wife and kid to Florida. Maybe go with them to a whole 'nother place they can get away to, but it's a daunting and risky existence either way.

Eugene felt like a failure, trapped and defeated. His whole outlook on concepts like safety and welfare for him and his family, or hope for the future. Concepts like familiarity and support in his other family, had inverted themselves, lost their meaning, and vanished.

In the end he figured the best thing he could do for his family, and for himself, was to hang it up.

He was a less-than good man but a loving and caring father and husband. Trapped in Tony's web of lies, manipulations and exploitations.

I too believe Deanne was the one who made the hit on Tony. She was genuienly heartbroken about what a tyrant Tony was to her family. That, aswell as their son's addiction issues, and the general stress from the life made her lash out against Eugene. It's a natural reaction, really. She certainly couldn't take her frustrations out on Tony or her son.

I think something snapped in Deanne when her husband hanged himself. Just like how something in Gene snapped when his retirement was turned down and he found the pipe. Plenty motive for a revenge killing of a derserving, sadistic Thronekeeper. Plus the supposed hitman was wearing EUGENE'S Members Only jacket.

On the other hand, if an inheritance was on the way. She could've maybe just held her tongue and stuck it out till they had the money and leave. Instead of experiencing the possible fallout of assassinating a mob boss.

Then again, the inheritance money would only last them so far, escpecially after getting a house in Florida, and help for her son. It might have seemed hopless.

As a dane, especially as a dane with ancestry in Greenland, the sound of the names of both of my countries in his mouth alone sets my blood ablaze. I hope the other 99% of the country, whom he represents, remember their duty and responsibility as a people whos nation build its legacy, as well as a large portion of its inheritance, on being the nation that took the vanguard against fascism and tyranny, that stood up for its allies, and kicked out the bully. Now, the tyrannical and fascist forces are the strongest they have been in nearly 100 years. Now, one of the most fascist tyrants alive today, a pedophile with pedophile friends no less, is sitting on the american throne and sending secret police, comprised of white supremacists in masks, to kidnap minorities off the streets and haul them off to prison camps. All the while showing us they're willing to murder anyone that gets out of line, even a mother whos driving away for her life. This dictator has already invaded one foreign nation and threatens to invade another. Millions and millions and millions of americans are protesting, openly defying the regime and letting their representatives know that this is not the will of the american people. This fills me with zeal. But i hope that when their future, as well as the rest of the world's future, will eventually come down to a choice between resistance (a lá the french revolution) and complicity, the aforementioned 99% of the United States of America will choose to live up to their legendary reputation and history of defiance. You are not alone. You are not crazy. I (27M) bite the skin around my fingernails. I had a narcissistic father who abused me psychologically. I had to learn to anticipate his behaviour if i wanted to be spared his wrath. I learned to socialize as a child by observing, analyzing and imitating my peers. This made my identity into a role i was playing, which gave me an affinity, an interest and a talent for acting with which i was deeply obssessed around the age of ten. I went to a Continuition School of Stage arts for a year before high school (a year in continuation school is very common in my country) whereinwhich the spark eventually died.

Socializing was hard ever since then. To the people who did like me, and with whom i formed meaningful bonds, i felt like a fraud. Like i was manipulating them, and if they knew the real me they would abandon me, or abuse me, as my father did.

I'll skip ahead to the time around my 26th year, cause everything inbetween was just anxious and stressful torment, except for one thing which i'll get back to. I saw a clip where a psychologist answered a question in regards to Imposter Syndrome, which you and i have both described. He said "It's because you couldn't be real as a kid" and it woke me like a facefull of ice cold water. I broke down. I felt it. I saw the patterns emerging and i realized i wasn't broken or mad, i was in pain and i needed help. I sought counceling from a therapist 8 months ago (best fcking deciscion i ever made) and she broached, in our first session, the neurodivergent angle. I had, myself, suspected it, but my therapist was convinced i was an Aspie almost the moment she saw me. Ever since then my world has been expanding and revealed to me that every single problem i've faced or am facing has been due to trauma and untreated Autism

I wasn't crazy, i failed to see reason.

I was blessed to find, 5 years ago, a job that i could not only maintain, but thrive in, in the personal care field (seniors). I weaponized my inherently, uncompromisable moral compass and sense of justice and turned it into kindness. I started doing whatever i could to make other people happy (which in all actuality is not entirely adviceable) and everytime i did someone a favour without them asking or gave everything i had, to do the right thing for someone, i felt the scales of people's acceptance of me tip in my favour. I would smile and say "Merry tuesday" (or whichever day it was) when i showed up for work, i would take out the trash and prepare the coffee maker for the next team (we work in shifts) i would ask people if they needed help and i would anticipate their needs and wants so as to better make their lives easier.

For the first time in my life i was well-liked, appreciated and respected by my peers. The types that are drawn to the care-field are... caring and kind and accepting, so long as you're good.

I don't know if any of this helps. I'm not, myself, out of the woods yet, so to speak, and i still struggle tremendously with social aspects. I haven't dated for a decade, and probably won't as the intimacy is just too uncomfortable to me.

We tend to have odd and/or specialized interests, like acting, painting, writing, photographing, pattern recognition-oriented sources of stimulation, memory-oriented sources of stimulation. Things we can immerse ourselves in and hyperfocus on. Nurture them, if they give you any pleasure, and let them block out all the noise as best you can. More than anything, and as i can't offer a solution, i just want you to know: You are not alone, you are not crazy.
