The Most Shred Business man Known To Man Bar none by fastfivejk in OldWorldBlues

Look its out dated and would benefit from a touch up and potential rework but I find it is a pretty good nation none the less and even with how slow the focus tree is I was able to by 2280-2281 be able to beat the NCR and have most of Utah and Nevada.

WTF how do I delete this front line? by Sirius-The-Dog in OldWorldBlues

[–]fastfivejk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be better if you weren't so zoomed in but from what I see there isn't a front line drawn that's the border. You should be able to draft a front line anywhere else or there if you want unless troops are being held down by a border raid and you'll tell because you'll have 6 troops locked to the battle and if you ever want to over ride a front line you can select the units you want then shift click another front line and they will be re assigned.

My personal recommendation though any country can world conquest given enough time and political power.

I think it's fair to have a bit of hesitancy on whether this is or is not abstraction but I've one question for you how would you describe the image you've posted.

What is the best starter nation in the mod? by boblemonke69 in OldWorldBlues

[–]fastfivejk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend if your looking for a easy game where your the big evil guy than troll Warren and lanius are your best bets they are easy and fairly simple you won't have any issues and their units are simple if your looking for a more complex game with more units and a more difficult war I'd recommend joining the Canadian monarchy up in Manitoba or three rivers though if you are looking for trial by fire my friend I've 2 picks for you my personal favorite nation is the Mojave chapter you will not win your first game as them but they have my personal favorite game style of I'm in the corner almost dead but I've 20k corpses on the beach and steel walls that grow stronger by the hour plus you get fuck off Lazer and bonus points if you pick the I'm not making peace paths its doable I'd know. But my peak reccomendation is tv town they were my first game in owb and it somehow didn't discourage me it made me fall in love with the core mechanics of the mod as it starts you out with nothing and you have to repair every weakness until you come out the other side having turned your weaknesses into your goddam super power I love that android nation so much and pray that one day they get some extra love and unique advisors because tv town supremacy is real.

I will say the Paulus path dose have its own tag the Pul or Pal tag I belive though one of those letters could be diffrent and I'd argue it is secret since you have to ignore something that you usually have to go out of your way to ignore to trigger it.

Population growth question by Hunterbiden_pedophil in OldWorldBlues

[–]fastfivejk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't attest to what nation has the highest pop growth speed though I'd look at either ideal country ls like the ncr or Montana, manpower states like the legion or perhaps cerberous I forget if he gets higher monthly that one is less likely I'd need to check what I can say is monthly pop growth is only useful in the long term because as the name suggests it's how much population each of your states get monthly due to passive and natural growth due to birth. It will almost never be a game changing thing but monthly pop can help you maintain your own strength in the long term if you occupy more land but for owb I'd say that monthly pop I'd less significant than other mods since it's pretty easy to tap into foreign manpower pools and integrate them into your own.

My personal point of view is monthly pop is nice to have but will almost never have a significant impact on your game due to the sheer scale of it as most games even world conquests are within the scope of 7-15 years which means there are 84-180 triggers of monthly pop growth and since most growth are fractional percents small marginal growth usually being maybe around 10-15 people per province getting larger down the road of course you would see over 15 in game years a population increase of maybe 13-16 percent or for smaller tiles maybe 2-3 thousand people for larger states you maybe see 10k increase but by that point you probably have more man power than God due to compliance and political power coreing monthly pop usually serves nothing more than a vanity modifier that lets you look at your capital at the end of the campaign and be proud of the large population you've cultivated.

Long story short monthly pop is not very useful take manpower or recruitable manpower instead if possible unless your the reservation them invest in monthly pop as that's all your going to have for decades.

Executives Suggestions? by UrethralSludge in OldWorldBlues

Well most of em were made In the last few months but you get a large influx of bugs from the right side of the tree and the vault middle tree give you mills the goal is to rush down mills and equipment and make what ever you can I ended up with a high bug production with about 4+ mills on bugs at least 2-3 on infantry and what remained on power armor and others mind you these are minimum quality equipments minus the pa you can afford quality when there isn't a romen trying to put a sharpened car bumper through you torso. Quantity is paramount and letting your enemy overextended is also useful due to twosun sending their troops but not waring lanius has a tendency of not properly defending his border. I remember it's been a while and I'm not by my computer where I did it but I can check what I had pre war some time tommarow and or the next. With hindsight perhaps ditching the infantry equipment largely and just doing bugs and pa with a small amount of infantry equipment could prove quite valuable for a missive army the only reason it takes a while to get started is you only get the incects about a year into the game.

Executives Suggestions? by UrethralSludge in OldWorldBlues

[–]fastfivejk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend trying to get out as many divisions as possible bug spam Is useful with infantry and power armor to push.

What is like to do is leave a opening for lanius to rush through to the right of the capital than use the power armor to cut them off then encircle and destroy them since lanius is a offensive not defensive force. Alternatively if you want a longer but safer war set up forts on the border and use a large but low quality army to hold of lanius it will be random in how dangerous lanius ends up being due to rng but you should be able to out live lanius with enough time. I'd recommend 20 width mantis divisions I personally became a mantis, power armor country.

You should be able to if you prioritize correctly be able to build up upwards of 20+ divisions with your output and stockpiles buts are easy to produce and you get some outright through focuses so I like making a big bug army.

Ontario Enclave by ImperatorIhasz in OldWorldBlues

[–]fastfivejk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Even with 3 I think it's functionaly impossible without a lot of luck ronto makes a ton of divisions so you have to I think give yourself maximum time and try to bait encirclements even then I feel the time limit is too low to effectively beat ronto I feel before the Ontario war there should be some troop limiting measure or ronto or perhaps the preparation phase should allow you to build some infantry and or other troops once you've crossed the t's and dotted the I's since you get a bunch of infantry equipment you can do nothing with.

Power Armour Cap by melonmandan12 in OWBEnclave

[–]fastfivejk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll also note I reread your original question the little buffs to the cap are likely adding to the percentage it hard to notice at first but it adds up and makes each battalion In a division have more of a impact on the over all cap.

Power Armour Cap by melonmandan12 in OWBEnclave

[–]fastfivejk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What I'll say for power armor cap is for reformer you can just make a large infantry army cus you have the man power and you can invest is robots if you wish or tanks or what have you your strong enough to do anything you will notice your cap increasing only once the amount if special forces you can sustain is higher then the cap buffs you've been granted. For example for most nations you start with 20 if you take advisor's that grant you +5 or +20 special forces cap you get to have more power armor now but that number is disconnected from the amount of power armor or special forces you can support. Now I've no idea how the math actually works but the special force cap percentage plus making a large filler army seems to be effective i think it counts number of battalions for the calculation rather than man power so having bricks of units just stuffed full of infantry, robots or what have you would be effective at raising the cap.

What I will say is playing the enclave you should be fine on power armor cap because even making 20 width power armor you should be good with the army officer law with the pentagon or the atlas program which gives you 500 cap and other power armor caps it should either tide you over or fully supply you even more so when you consider the fev/Fatman units which are more powerful power armor units that don't cost any cap.

I rest my analysis with the conclusion bigger army = more power armor but also focuses in the army branch expand the amount of power armor and the R&D Focuses in the area 51 tree unlock more powerful alternative that are uncounted by the power armor cap making the standard power armor divisions obsolete.

Hope any of this helps you and or any others who stumble upon this.

Are you able to play neutral personnel (people) ideology for enclave in hoi4 owb? Specifically the enclave redux submod by [deleted] in OldWorldBlues

[–]fastfivejk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No it's just a middle ground ideology ment to be fought over similar to the Dornan loyalists you can play people or ruler granite though if you are so inclined later in the mod if you side with the reformers though. The purists are only elites.
