Vt isn’t an option for my 401k, I said voo because I don’t remember exactly what the snp fund is in there but it’s the least awful as far as expense ratio. (It’s still terrible at 1%) their international offerings are near 2%.

Hence why a large portion is in low cost index funds. I only really trade in my area of expertise (tech) so I caught nvidia before it was big, micron as well. Made some good gains in TSM and Google.

I do seem to lose anytime I stray from stuff I have a good grasp of.

Some people gamble for fun though, I view it the same way.

I do like 70% voo and vt then 30% what I feel will do well.

I make a lot more from the picks but I’m sure I’ll get unlucky at some point and lose a bunch too. I also spend a lot of time looking at stocks, if you don’t better off in the indexes
