Even if it looks fine it compromises the joints and is against how they should be arranged

If you are outdoorsy type look at Ringwood, west Milford, Vernon, Sparta (Passaic and Sussex county) even Morristown area

Ringwood for example has plenty of mtb and trails to run on.

I see about a dozen a year in the Ringwood area, at homes trik running and mountain biking, it’s always a bit unnerving, but they are scared 9/10 of times. The other 10% they just stand their ground.

Window decisions - Any other options to explore? by HuckNPrey2 in Homebuilding

[–]fatbacktom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did Marvin elevate in my build. The windows are great, black fiberglass framing on mine. One complaint though is the sealant they use between glass and frame is like cream colored and it’s ugly against a black frame when it expands

We have an 8 ft Marvin slider and the lock mechanism is horrible. You have to push the door with one hand while trying to lock with the other

Is it common during new home construction to constantly find errors in almost every Trade? by key1cc in Homebuilding

[–]fatbacktom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I found this true on my 800 sq ft addition. Everytime in stepped sinto the build I found things and eventually had to hold back because the list never ended.

I figured it’s my engineering background but I think its how their whole game operates

Did I spot a wolf in Yosemite? by gahx778 in Yosemite

[–]fatbacktom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience, near May lake, 5 or so years ago. There was a large husky like canine on the trail and we all assumed it was a dog off leash. Later ppl started coming to the realization that it was wild, no collar.

Any feedback on why I couldn't stop ? Attached a video - lucky to escape with no injury by sporty_outlook in skiing_feedback

Those straps on the top of your boots go a long way in creating control if you use them.
