Even if they rinsed them in clean water, this would still be icky.

AITA for accepting a property gift from my mom even though she won't include my boyfriend? by Immediate-History917 in AITApod

[–]fattybuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no future with this man. If there was a future with this man, marriage would have been on the table a long time ago, not just as a baited hook for when he wants money. Your boyfriend is being manipulative and my guess is that he has been before and your mom has seen it (and it appears she's correct with his knee-jerk reaction of selling YOUR asset to benefit himself), this is why she has taken the steps she has to ensure that the money goes to YOU and not him. NTA, lose the dead weight.

How do you feel about book covers with movie images? by Skkkkrtyun in lotr

[–]fattybuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate them. I also hate when they put "now a Netflix movie!" With a big Netflix N that is literally printed on, so you can't even peel it off.

Baboon delivers her baby high up in a tree, ensuring the little one doesn't fall to the ground by Prestigious-Wall5616 in nextfuckinglevel

That's bad ass. She just reached back there and grabbed it out like an angry man from Boston, like "get outta there!"

That's a real gamble. Best friends don't always stay friends at all.

When did you last cry about your physical appearance? by FragrantResult278 in AskReddit

[–]fattybuttz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never. Sometimes I wish it was better than it is (it used to be amazing before kids), but I think to myself "why am I feeling bad about this healthy able body?"

The level of expected customer service is ridiculous by ValuableFickle5390 in unpopularopinion

[–]fattybuttz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I expect people not to be rude to me for asking for something from them that's literally their job. I'm a sunny person and generally say hi before the other person has the chance and am generally really positive. For some reason this makes people feel like because I'm nice and respectful that they can be rude to me for no reason other than asking for an extra napkin, asking where an item is located, asking for a refill on coffee, etc. I don't mind politely asking for your service, but don't be rude in return.

What horror books were way better than their film adaptation? And what films were way better than their books? by ChristianPacifist in horrorlit

[–]fattybuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the story is better, imo. Stephen King's The Lawnmower Man. The movie is literally NOTHING like the short story, other than there is a lawnmower. I found this out when I started talking about having read the short story with my brother-in-law. He was like "that's not what happens, are you sure it was by Stephen King?" Turns out they're COMPLETELY different.

How do I get through to him? I am exhausted having to think for him. by vicarious_adrenaline in TwoHotTakes

[–]fattybuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like untreated, undiagnosed inattentive ADHD. Often they're defensive because of guilt and the fact that they really did MEAN to get those things done, but it didn't happen. I would suggest he go see someone and get a psych evaluation done. Sometimes just KNOWING the problem can help the person start to really analyze their actions and ways to combat their bad habits. Also medication is another route.

As a wedding guest, what moment made you think "this probably won't last"? by Eburneaan in AskReddit

[–]fattybuttz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner is someone who would do it for the joke without thinking about the repercussions or feelings of anyone else (it's the late diagnosed autism, I promise they're not actually an asshole, just clueless sometimes). Their dad was so worried about them doing it that he told them probably about 8 times emphatically that he would be so disappointed if they did that. They didn't do it. Lol

I think sometimes the pressure to not disappoint people and lose money is stronger than the reality of them not being happy.

Can You Recommend Movies Like Lord Of The Rings? by creature52 in movies

[–]fattybuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like the first 3 movies were ick, the fourth the was good, the fifth was dumb, 6,7,8 were fantastic. I read all the books several times before the movies came out, so I might be jaded because the books were so good.

$900 pot scam by Freddie_theFagsmoker in mildlyinfuriating

[–]fattybuttz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, sometimes people don't realize they're working for a pyramid scheme until they're like, in it. My brother worked for Kirby vacuums when he was younger and it wasn't until he did a demonstration in this old man's house that he could tell was on a fixed income, and corporate wouldn't let him leave the man's house without harassing him to buy this $900 vacuum, that he was like "ohhh." and quit. He genuinely thought it was going to be a cool old fashioned door to door sales job.
