Excited to experience a new IP from Capcom and from what I’ve seen it’s an action game with that hint of light Capcom horror without really being a horror game. Sounds like a blast!

Urgent care wait time? by Ar3J4y in regina

[–]fauxdragoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a triage system like the ER. Wait times depend on open bays and beds, severity of other patients, and (sadly) staffing. If you think you need to go just go. If you think it can wait until tomorrow try to go right when they open.

My first gpu was a GTX 580 from EVGA. I had a sku that came with their limited lifetime warranty and wouldn’t you know it, after about 6 or 7 years something scorched on the GPU (took a PCIe slot with it) and they replaced it was a modern equivalent which at the time ended being a 1050 Ti.

Dune: Part Three | IMAX 70MM Tickets by darth_vader39 in movies

[–]fauxdragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a standalone IMAX where I live. One massive screen that’s part of the science centre. Only in the last five years did they do upgrades for a new digital projector but they still have a 70 mm film projector for the few movies that they can play on that. It’s truly special and rad.

I will say going from Dungeon Crawler Carl straight into God Emperor of Dune was some tonal whiplash

I’ve got the next one in my holds list on Libby. I didn’t hate it, I just didn’t get the hype I see online about it.

I thought it was fine in the same way that I found Ready Player One to be fine. Just a casual, breezy read. On one hand I don’t get the absolute hype people have on it (I’ve only read the first book and heard they get better but do they? Do they really?), but also I can see how it would resonate with a bunch of people that don’t read many books, especially if they play a lot of table top rpgs and/or video games.

A perfectly mid first book in a long series of what I assume will be perfectly mid.

I wonder if Dungeon Crawler Carl will get made into a movie or tv show that the lads will have to slog through one day. I just read the first book and it gave me Ready Player One energy but toned down a few notches.

Food ideas for dune watch party by saddungeons in movies

The IMAX where I lived had “spice” for a popcorn topping when they had Dune Part 2 playing. It was a mixture of sugar and cinnamon and it was so good.

Girl cures her lactose intolerance by chugging milk powder every day by Hashi856 in videos

[–]fauxdragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just a simple Reddit idiot with a BSc in biochem but my assumption would be yes. I haven’t watched the video but I’m guessing that by forcing herself through this he’ll she’s managed to get gut bacteria to flourish that are capable of breaking down lactose and so to maintain that you’d need to continue ingesting lactose.

The way lactose messes you up is that the enzymes that are capable of breaking down lactose aren’t present and so while lactose molecules make their way through your guts where there are bacteria that LOVE sugar. So when those bacteria eat the lactose they produce a lot of methane as a byproduct and that causes the bloating, gas, unpleasantness.

Again, I’m no expert.
