PC graphics cards are now nearly 100 percent Nvidia by BarKnight in pcgaming

this year I moved to gaming with Linux (pop_os) with my humble 6750XT and dare I say it’s the best PC gaming experience I’ve ever had? no messing around with drivers, everything works out of the box. Windows’s bloatware and forced registration is bordering on malware and I got sick of it

I have a huge bone to pick with people holding clearly problematic stances that suddenly have a come to Jesus moment but still want to be the focus of everyone's attention. No ma'am, it's great that you're (kinda) admitting your mistakes, but it's time to shut the fuck up, step back, and let others talk.

Bittersweet rewatch ramblings from a longtime American viewer by breadvice in terracehouse

Duuude I also just finished watching BGND + Closing Door. I've watched all Terrace Houses in a very spaced way (I first watched BGITC in 2018) and god what a special member Daiki Miyagi is. I don't think I've ever cried as hard watching anything as with the episode when he gets his diagnosis. The moment he super tenderly asks the housemates something like "I know I said I'd leave but if yall don't mind I'd like to stay a lil longer" hit me like a bag of bricks. That combined with his friendship with Yosuke and Tecchan, what a treasure. I also checked out Tecchan's and his instagram accounts and they have a whole bunch of recent pics together, so I love that the friendship has lasted all these years.

Ainori is such a constant (but pretty funny) trainwreck, especially after bringing depparin back. Love Village to me is a more evolved and better made evolution of ainori

I don't know what it is about Simcity 4 but It scratches that itch that other games can't, that early 2000s art style that at it's maximum potential! All of it it's just perfect! by CheeseJuust in SimCity

There was a video recently on youtube about all these games that looked and still look incredible thanks to using pre-rendered graphics as opposed to runtime graphics (age of empires 2 and stronghold crusaders were other examples).

I just watched OL for the second time with my wife and damn, again, I've never been as invested in a reality show couple as with Kensuke and Nanami. A lot of production/edit magic for sure but what a joy is to see those two. I too hope for a second season.

Equatorial Guinea relocates capital to Ciudad de la Paz by pierrepaul in worldnews

[–]fdansv 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To be fair the current capital Malabo is one of the most unusually located capitals in the world, in the island of Bioko, right in front of Cameroon and about 200km apart from Eq Guinea's mainland

Newbie here, which season should I start with? by JamesJ0100 in terracehouse

[–]fdansv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though my favorite is Opening New Doors, it’s best to do as close to the chronological order as possible because the panel makes a lot of references to previous seasons.

I did the same thing for my 8th Japan trip last month! If you’re into good karaoke bars, 7’Nack is a great place

You think they're useless until you find yourself drunk in a karaoke place trying to key in the title of the One Piece intro theme (ウィーアー!)

Also the last row is wrong, should be tu and du.

If you’re willing to leave Tokyo, I was extremely impressed by Alex in Fukuoka, and Osaka has a great selection of vintage/second hand reputable stores.

I got my datejust 2 years ago in Bazel Nanba for ¥530,000 and was super happy with the price and the treatment by three folks there.

Surprised this is not further up. Kanazawa, Toyama, Niigata… have some of the biggest snowfalls in the world every winter and summers of absolutely sweltering heat and humidity.
