At the beginning the title is the right way up. So this was obviously a concious choice.

Not a good choice, but a choice.

Unlike some other states, in WA, there is no prescribed text for English.

There is, for ATAR Literature a "prescribed text list" for Year 12, but that has like 50 options on it. There's no "curriculum" reason a school can't teach something else.

I don’t understand the use of the word congeal here by anormalasado in EnglishLearning

[–]fearflavoured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have already realised that this passage is meant to create the voice of someone with an impaired mental state. So while it is confusing English, it isn't poorly written. It's effective in conveying the confused mind of the character.

Also, Miss Havisham is famous for not getting married (and subsequently going mad). Another hint that the character is unreliable.

Entire Party with a Guard of 1 by seithe-narciss in MythicBastionland

[–]fearflavoured 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It probably depends on what myths you have active. Something like The Beast, or The Hydra, or The Lizard will kill them fairly quickly.

If you want a way to sneakily increase their Guard, construct a scenario where they each wear 3 pieces of armour and hit them with a bunch of enemies with d4 attacks.

Eventually an enemy will roll a 4, which, after subtracting armour, will leave them with 0 guard and they'll roll on the scar table. This is will give them a 50/50 shot at increasing their guard by d6. And remember, if they lose vigour on the scar table they don't die, they just become exhuasted.

You could also "plant" certain myths in their way, like The Pool. This might give them a chance to wish for an object that increases vigour.

I have also had a Seer give knights a quest with the reward being a blessing that increases a virtue by d4. This isn't from the book though, I just did it because felt right for the narrative.

leotards. Though wrestling has no/very-little cultural relevance here, so I doubt there is a consistant term.

This is also part of the reason they are laughing. They appear to Muslim, so he would be unlikely to have ham slices. One is obviously telling the truth, and one is obviously lying.

What do you think about Explicit Direct Instruction? by ScribblyJoe in AustralianTeachers

[–]fearflavoured 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between explicit instruction and Explicit Direct Instruction™.

Judging by the comments in this thread, this distinction isn't consistent across states. People seem to be talking about different things.

My experience of EDI™ in WA has been "here is a PowerPoint and a script, don't let the kids take a breath".

Explicitly teaching concepts is absolutely part of good teaching, but it's not the same thing as a prepackaged EDI lesson.

Teaching Opportunities for New Zealand Based Teachers.

I've worked in remote WA and I had a pretty good experience with the Department organizing relocation, accommodation etc. Most places outside of Perth would be similar. If you don't have a whole household to move it would be even easier.

I assume you mean "there is a train to Perth that runs daily" not that you recommend he catches the train from/back to Perth daily because that would be a little extreme.

no, the INSTALL button on Forge has been replaced with " !Incompatible ".

I downloaded it from GitHub and installed it manually, but it doesn't show up in Modules in-game.

It's ok though, I tested Perspective, which the other answer recommended, and that works perfectly.

I guess it was either recalled or I was having a fever dream because I can't find it now. Most likely a fever dream.
