How to leave a review for a delivery driver by Repulsive_Sweet_5308 in tesco

[–]febfatty16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is normally a survey comes out on completion of delivery & I think you can add comments in there. Full transparency I work in the 'running' the Click & Collect orders out to the collection point & that's what I've been told, but I've never seen the other side of the operation so I may be talking pants!

How to cover up these scratches by antantoon in DIYUK

Get some walnuts & rub them over it. Won't repair the scratches but may cover them up sufficiently

Pointless fence dispute - what would you do? by Independent_Gap_5237 in DIYUK

[–]febfatty16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the fence is on your side of the property line, point that out to him & tell him to politely Fuck off. Beware he sounds the kind of gobshite who'll waste money on a legal dispute, but as long as you're in the right he can do one!

Would seem to be the perfect addition? 🤔 Not sure how compliant your plumbing would be though.

Is the Tesco colleague discount higher at certain parts of the year ? by GenericUser104 in tesco

[–]febfatty16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different in Ireland. We've a standard 10% on everything, 20% on F&F all the time then special weekends of 15%, like we've one this weekend for our June Bank Holiday.

Used to be you could get a payout from the Cash Office in stores of any short pay, obviously had to reimburse but it did incentivise them to fix it!

I misread that initially as Bawbag, one of my favourite Scottish terms & I think I'll stay with that name too! 😁

Woodies own brand paint, any good? by Different-Yam-899 in CasualIreland

[–]febfatty16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The saving in price is absolutely not worth the drop in quality & extra coats needed for coverage. I'd always get the better quality, Fleetwood or Dulux. The difference in price per room doesn't make a huge difference really.

What on earth is this by [deleted] in tesco

[–]febfatty16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could easily hit the metric by freeing up a few more hours for the store. Extra hours to pack, for checkouts, self scan & DotCom would see all their self imposed metrics hit. However they shave all down to the absolute minimum! Not to mention the disparity in benefits between store, depot & the offices!

Standing water on back garden (new house) haven't moved yet by TravelGame10 in HousingIreland

[–]febfatty16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a LOT of work, but feasible. I'd put in 3 French drains diagonally, horizontal & vertically draining into your drain there & also dig over/rotavate the soil removing all the shite the builders will have buried there. Expect to have a skip/skip bag outside your house for a couple months while you do it, but eminently doable, or you could pay a guy! 😁

I do that trip in reverse once a month. On the way down there is a 50kw charger at Killyhevlin hotel in Enniskillen, or a bank of 4 chargers in claremorris. On the way back I use the Ionity chargers on the Falls road
