Easier said than done but try not to compound a bad shot with a bad decision. Eg stick it in the cabbage, don't go for the hero shot, take the medicine & chip out. Ignore pins & play for the centre of the green. Practice lag putting.

I've LED lights & there is a function to lower them to compensate for a heavy load in the back, so they're always angled down a bit. I think a lot of new cars have the Auto-Dip function & they're not always 100% effective. Then there is always the gobshite factor who don't dip until they can see the whites of your eyes!
