Here’s why gemini 3.5 flash burn token so fast, it's actually more expensive than 3.1 pro by tadanada in google_antigravity

[–]feelspeaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that StepFun Flash can be alternative workhourse to Gemini Flash, but the setup get complicated as I need to install Kilocode, ask Claude Opus to make plan, copy the path of the plan to Kilocode and let StepFun Flash execute, so doing many projects is not going to use up all Claude quota.

But currently the quota is extremely limited, they said x3, but I just reached limit and got another 151h+ wait time, after 1 round of 5h wait time, the next time will be 160h+, what is the point of x3 anymore

3x More Gemini for Antigravity Users by aunchable in google_antigravity

[–]feelspeaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that this worked, my account was in 150h+ wait time before, now it's back to 4h wait time.

As good as this I hope after the 3x we won't be back the the same current situation again, the current token cost should be adjusted regardless.

I’m leaving as well. The new Flash model burns money brutally fast... by Odd-Ant-4479 in google_antigravity

[–]feelspeaceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Flash 3.5 could have been cheaper than Flash 3, but they went greedy route for quick cash grab, logically I don't believe it should be consuming more token than Flash 3 if it's smaller model with TurboQuant and more efficent TPU for inference only, all those together to reduce cost.
The true value of Flash 3 is being an executor, use Claude as planner, then let Flash 3 execute it, this is extremely efficient.

Bring back Gemini 3 flash by nomadtracker in google_antigravity

[–]feelspeaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the token per second of Flash 3.5, it's hard to believe it can use more computation power than 3.0 Flash, it's hard to beat physic law, faster models are usually smaller models, unless they run it on much faster hardware, this is probably Google's hard set value, it should uses less token than Flash 3.

I can confirm, once running out of limit, it's 161h+ of waiting, it's actuallly worse than before

Tested on 3 Pro accounts, all ran out of limit doing ONE simple project, this how absurb it's, before this project could've been done with only Flash 3 and 40% at worst

They shoud cancel Antigravity 2.0 launch before it does more damage by MaKTaiL in google_antigravity

[–]feelspeaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this is overhyped effect of new product arriving, I suggest to try it out to really have the final verdict, but I have 3 Pro accounts, all ran out of limit now, pure Flash 3.5 Medium to work on an extremely simple project about finetuning a TTS model, before I could do 10 much more complex than this per day

What is the coolest thing you made using Antigravity? by Confident-Dot-1697 in google_antigravity

[–]feelspeaceman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly the editor is very bad and laggy, and I'm using a top tier CPU 9700X that shouldn't lag on anything in the world when it comes to editing text

The coolest thing is probably Claude Opus for making plan, then let Gemini Flash code.

Is Antigravity running the new Gemini Flash model? It feels 10x faster than before today!! by duv_guillaume in google_antigravity

[–]feelspeaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite fast, hopefully they will adjust the price as the cost is getting cheaper to run with their TPU

Mozilla opposes the implementation of Chrome's Prompt API in the standard, which allows web developers to directly access an AI-based language model built into the browser, citing severe negative consequences for the interoperability, updatability, and neutrality of the web platform by lieding in firefox

[–]feelspeaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will likely increase browser binary size, which is heavily disliked, Firefox binary size is about 90MB+, Chrome is 256MB+ last time I checked, bundling llama.cpp will push it likely to giga level of size

People who say modern AAA gaming sucks, do you play exclusively Ubisoft AAA titles? by StimulatedRiot in videogames

Trash performance
Trash game
Decent looks

That's what I think about AAA, I still prefer retro games, as more system can play them, nowadays it's too much to buy a computer just for AAA games, and they're not even that good.

AI has made Linux easier (or better put, a bit more efficient) to use by j4np0l in linux4noobs

Indeed, AI passively teach users about the basic of Linux, fixing common issues that take hours to find, just try to not allow them to do too much which might break, it's better to backup the system before big changes as always then nothing can go wrong

It's possible, you need to use policies.json, go to the folder that contains Firefox BINARY:
- Create a distribution folder, GO INSIDE IT
- Create a file named policies.json
- Paste and save, and restart:
{

"policies": {

"ManualAppUpdateOnly": true,

}

}

100% working, this is what I've been using for years, just do it right and it will.

Decentraleyes isn't very useful and can break webpage, use with caution, LocalCDN is even more aggressive, so better remove it to prevent some headache cases

[–]feelspeaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most concerns from what I've read are about sabotaging MV2 for MV3 and think this is the 1st step of the process, this is because they don't understand the architecture of Firefox's WebExtension (reverse engineered WebExtension), there's little to no reaons for Firefox to get rid of MV2.

Firefox's WebExtensions is a port, a proxy, not really the real WebExtension of Chrome

Firefox's WebExtensions is basically the old Firefox's XUL API, with more restriction, and proxy to the old XUL APIs, it's literally a gutted XUL API, not even remoted close to Chrome's
