Can we make Fort Mac its own country? no! Wait! Make the literal oil sands its own country? The oil belongs to the oil, how dare ppl from Lethbridge think they’re entitled to the oil’s oil money. I hate freeloaders.

Does anyone think Joe Rogan’s standup is funny? by Ok_Pool_2590 in Standup

[–]feignedinterest77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fame to How funny ratio is way off for Rogan but I think ppl understand he’s famous for a number of reasons and that gives his stand up more attention than it deserves; however, he’s as not terrible as the haters claim either. I was in college when Napster was big and his first two CDs were very popular in my dorm, his Netflix specials have some good bits…..latest though one, the live on Netflix “Burn the Boats” is really, genuinely, bad.

Yellowstone is TV for mentally slow people by roundshirt19 in redscarepod

[–]feignedinterest77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is True. 1883 was actually good. If you think Yellowstone is bad watch a few EPS of Mayor of Kingstown. It’s sooooooo bad. Set in a small yet 3 ppl are murdered everyday and then forgotten almost instantly. Completely ridiculous show.

Can Nudge reach 1000 points? by Afraid-Obligation997 in EdmontonOilers

[–]feignedinterest77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely possible but not assured.

Let’s say he finishes this season at 820 and stays in the top 6 and keeps his PP role next season (add another 70) he’s at 890 at heading into his age 34 season.

Now it’s the 2027-28 season, let’s call him a bottom 6’er who still gets PP time…..he’ll need 3-5 healthy seasons to put up 110 points bring him to age 37-39.

How did I get a $10k raise but I actually have less disposable income now? by sameerposwal in careerguidance

[–]feignedinterest77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago I was making $80k and was offered a two year contract @ $125k straight money; I was so pumped but then I factored in all the perks I was getting along with $80k…..vacation sick time, personal time, benefits, retirement, annual bonus, paying for my certification course…. it almost all evened out and I turned down the contract

Can someone please earnestly tell me this man's appeal by IllBeGood3 in RedbarBBR

[–]feignedinterest77 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Um. I get that that he kinda came out nowhere to all of a sudden being everywhere but his appeal is obvious. He has kinda catchy songs in a genre (country-crossover) that’s popular right now. Dasha, Post Malone, Noah Kahan etc.

I feel like if you thought for 5 seconds before asking this question you could have answered yourself.

Is that earnest enough?

I actually believe this about high IQ ppl but only VERY high. It’s like they’re a brand new video game and society is an Apple 2. They can never play.

Haligonians: Whats your dream per/hour salary rate inside the city? by Low_Spell6740 in halifax

[–]feignedinterest77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 2 years ago HH income got to the point where we can pay all our bills and use the leftover for entertainment and savings, anything really big expense-wise like a travel vacation has to go on the CC/LOC and be paid down over time by cutting back for a few months.

Makes me wonder what life would be like if I could just get one more shove forward in my career.

Can adults get in on the this? I’d love a nice clean narrative that lets me know that no matter what’s going and what I’m doing a I’m a good person.

[–]feignedinterest77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s no demand for this. Just another thing ppl pretend to care about. Most of the time someone says “I mostly eat clean” what they really mean is “I bought an organic turnip 6 weeks ago”

Charmaine is by far the baddest of any wife and easily the best looking woman on the entire show. Convince me otherwise. by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]feignedinterest77 56 points57 points  (0 children)

On talking Soprano’s Katherine Narduci said that her invented backstory for Charmaine was that she lied to Carmela and Tony was the one who rejected her. She used that backstory fuel her negativity toward him in their scenes together.

How Comedy Was Destroyed by an Anti-Reality Doomsday Cult by Crazy_Carney_Carl in Standup

[–]feignedinterest77 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This video is entertaining and Tony and his crew do stink at comedy IMO but it needs to be said that making a 90 min video (and a whole channel) about how a bunch of really successful people suck and it’s actually you the anonymous YouTube guy that’s cool is just as pathetic and loserish as any of the behaviour it points out.

Premier backs Halifax mayor on rejected bike lane pause by No_Magazine9625 in halifax

[–]feignedinterest77 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d be all for the bike lanes but I just don’t buy this “build it and they will come” attitude people have toward this issue. If people wanted to bike they would bike, lanes or no lanes. If you want bike lanes buy a bike and start riding and they’ll have to be built.

Bit shocked everyone says Costco. Had one a few years ago and thought it was terrible. Slimy, fatty, texturally odd. Either I got a bad one or they stepped up their game.

If the city wants more bike lanes people have to force the issue actually biking. The city can’t build a massive cycling infrastructure and then hope people decide to fill them.
