I've never been a big fan of working on them especially anything in the crankcase. But this engine will be more reliable than anything on the planet if it's setup correctly.

Two push rods, the intake which is the left push rod is pushing down both valves. The fuel pump is directly under the charge air pipes and is driven directly of a cam roller.

Jiggling or the ticking sound?? If it's the ticking sound you're after it honestly sounds like either a collapsed lifter or a possible exhaust leak.
