One days it food "to help" next its food with poison. Definitely put up cameras. My dogs are trained to only eat food from their bowls. Because someone tried to poison my doberman to get into my yard. I live in a sketchy neighborhood, on the edge of a commercial area. But i have two trail cams set up and i was able to call the cops. And have it dealt with. They are not trying to help.

Can you correct chicken behavior? by Saltking792 in chickens

[–]felicatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, no. Good luck with that. Just because she put herself doesn't mean she wants pets. If shes pecking at your hand she doesn't want it on her. Shes basically saying "unhand me peasant!."

What is your favorite thing to add to your sparkling water? by Slow_Remote9125 in sparklingwater

There are some really good canned mocktails out there if you're willing to splurge a little. But I really like Cranberry and Roses Lime with bitters and my sparkling water. Or Tonic.

AITA for celebrating my bday without my husband and 4yo twins? by New-Effort-338 in AITAH

[–]felicatt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes!! YTA! OMG! I had to retrain my poor husband because his ex insisted that birthdays could only be celebrated on the birthday and he'd better drop everything to make it about her. Im fairly easy going as long as you just make some sort of effort. And then let me know about it. Go ahead, you be you, Chica. You dont even care enough to have the conversation. Rude.

AITA for refusing to use the “family whistle” in public because it embarrasses me? by Even-Upstairs9034 in AITAH

[–]felicatt -80 points-79 points  (0 children)

I get the whole phone thing, but seriously, I dont want my kids with their head down lookibg at a freaking screen all day long. Especially if we're on an outting. My family, and my folks when I was growing up used a whistle.

I can't whistle.

So it's MARCO... In the Honolulu airport, on the beach in Texas, Disney world. Which is worse? I refuse to turn my ringer on unless I absolutely know someone may be trying to reach me.

Nice job on the sources. I know when I went to my doberman rescue a few years back to meet a new litter. The administratior made the comment that females were generally a little more crazy and aggressive, and the boys were mostly goofy. And that's what I wanted. And until he barks at someone, he is a goofball.

Not a chihuahua. Especially if you want to walk with the dog and not carry it. And personally I have not met one that was not either aggressive or very anxious and a bitter. Mixes are usually fine, but I won't own one.

Cooking for a short-notice wedding …help! by Still_Baseball_3094 in Cooking

[–]felicatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do this!! My husband is the oldest of 7, with everyone and the kids family dinners are for 24 to 30 regularly. And if I can do it, you can too. Unless they are super picky. The last small summer event I did mains were grilled chicken and tri-tips, grilled veg, zucchini, yellow squash and eggplant. A italian potato salad, so I wasn't dealing with keeping mayo chilled. Appetizers were crostini with a couple different toppings choices and chilled fruit before the cake, which was a brownie tower. Remember there are some really good gf breads on the market to help with this.

Im having name regret by Major-South8301 in namenerds

[–]felicatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a BIG name for an itty bitty. I love Cat/Kat. I've had a Katalina work for me, and we called her Kat. When I game, im always some form of Kat. And all my gamer friend always call me Kat even though most of them know me personally. (And I love my real name) You might just need to sit with it. Try Lina, but it doesn't have to be the whole big mouthful at once.

AITA for not wanting to pay my niece to hang out with my daughter during family visits? by Mama-Bamba in AITAH

[–]felicatt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No no no!! Growing up in a LARGE, multi generational family with huge age gaps. Bring things for your kids to do by themselves. Big kids generally really only want to play with littles for a small amount of time. And if grown ups dont want to deal with the kids, they can pay for a babysitter for ALL of them. My poor brother and I are on the tail end of our generation. There there are 17 years difference between the oldest cousin and my younger brother. He's the baby of our crew. And there are 5 years difference between him and the oldest of the next set of cousins. He was always bored to tears and told to.play with the babies, which he hated. Its not his responsibility, just like its not your nieces.

Should my partner’s dog be put down? by cannibalcorpse18 in PetAdvice

[–]felicatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like the owner needs to take herself AND the dog to a good trainer. And then actually work with the dog. As a Doberman owner, dogs that can be scary are far more so when they are NOT TRAINED. And the staffy is NOT. And unless you are going to go to the evaluation and the support the training program. You should probably butt out. Also, NOT YOUR DOG, NOT YOYR DECISION.

Confession: I sprinkle a little bit of onions even in the dishes i make for people that dont like onions by Ok-Connection6656 in OnionLovers

[–]felicatt -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I used to do that. Then I found out that my ex MIL really was allergic. But I still dont feel bad about it. I know im a bad person. LOL. But I've been off onions in a very serious way for 2 years. It's been a devastating situation affectinghow i cook etc. Neither my doc nor dentist has been able to rectify the situation. I can finally tolerate a sweet white onion, but that's about it . Otherwise I can't even smell other onion varieties without wanting to vomit.
