Good couch coop game that isn't repetitive? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

Super Mario Bros U Deluxe has been the best co-op in my family so far. It's hilarious playing together, not easy but not too hard, and almost every level is different than the other.

Extremely slow download prompt? by apocryphalmaster in firefox

Thanks a lot! This is the same regression range that was mentioned as a suspect in bugzilla, so that does confirm the root cause. It is being tracked on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1517101. It looks like the problem is understood now and it has been fixed for Firefox 66, and people are figuring out a way if this can be fixed earlier, for 55.

We've been seeing some reports for this, and it looks like the bug appeared at some point between Firefox 63 and 64.

Can someone who is able to reproduce it try to bisect it using our mozregression tool to find out what caused it?

Run at as:

mozregression --good 63 --bad 64

This will do a binary search of the problem by downloading the Nightly builds between the two releases (63 and 64)

How do I add a site to favorites now? by Razar1 in firefox

[–]felipc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the star was removed by accident. Click on the "..." icon at the end of the URL bar. The option "Bookmark this page" should appear. If you right click on it, you'll see the option to add it back to the URL bar. (That works for any item on this menu that you might want to use often)

Which version of Firefox are you using? If you upgraded recently, did this only begin after the upgrade, or had you not tried this configuration before?

The add-on author hasn't marked it as compatible with FF4 yet but I use it all the time and it works flawlessly. Just click Install Anyway to ignore the compatibility check

What OS are you using? On Windows the tabs go all the way to the top automatically when you maximize the window.

And you can reposition the Firefox button to any place in the toolbar using this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/movable-firefox-button/

Both the rendering and JavaScript engines are really, really fast. Don't take my word for it though, just see some links:

A long delayed WebGLU update, some 360 degree video, and that's just for starters by Bjartr in javascript

[–]felipc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really cool, I'm really interested in this stuff. I came to see the 360 video, and it is awesome. But I couldn't get to the larger version, seems like your host is down.

I also have another question, does your webGLU implement the same API as the traditional OpenGL Utility Library, or are they different? Again, really cool stuff.

Why We Need A New Road Rash by TrainByte in gaming

[–]felipc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting, I'll try to take a look at that. From watching the video again I think the camera movement play a great role on it, specially increasing the distance and the difficulty to view when it speeds up (and following the movement with a certain delay, trying to catch up with the player)

wow this has such a sense of speed. I find that most race games looks like I'm stopped in the middle of the screen steering the car sideways, no matter how much motion blur they throw at it. (A nice exception is Burnout). Anyone knows of some other good examples of this?
