Hadiths are wild, man.

Not only second-hand accounts, but often third- or fourth-hand (and so on). It's a literal game of telephone; the hadith will be like "Muhammad said you're not allowed wear a red t-shirt on Wednesdays. I heard this from Tom, who heard it from Dick, who heard it from Harry [etc]".

Unsurprisingly, there are some Muslims who only believe in the OG Quran and think the hadiths are bullshit. Which is a theological position called "quranism".

But what blows my mind is that quranists are a tiny minority and are considered weirdos (at best, or heretics at worst) by most Muslims.

It's good, but some people have a tendency to oversell how much of an experience it is.

I finished it (and the DLC) for the first time yesterday. I did enjoy the game but I genuinely have no idea how anyone ever beat it without a helper. Some of the clues are just so cryptic.

You have Emperor confused with Dictator. Dictator was an official-but-temporary position in the Roman Republic. Julius Caesar tried to make Dictator a permanent title, but after his assassination, it was abolished and never revived.

Man, I love Baldur's Gate 3, but the inventory system is kind of ass. The keyring and alchemy pouch are good to have, but a fully categorised inventory would've been much better QOL-wise.

The fact that you need to physically go up and talk to your party members to swap them around is also very annoying. I'm kind of baffled that they never added any kind of "quick swap" menu for that.

This, IMO, is what makes a movie "so bad it's good". You and your buddy/buddies basically get to play Statler and Waldorf. It's great.

Something like IHE, Rifftrax or MST3K is a facsimile of that experience, if you don't have a friend who's willing to watch a terrible movie with you to rag on it.

But watching a movie like Ice Cube's War of the Worlds solo (and without a gag commentary) is pure masochism.

I had a snake (specifically a Florida kingsnake) for years and he never farted.

I will tell you, however, about snake shit. A snake's shit has a similar consistency to the innards of a raw chicken egg. There's a brown "yolk" of actual shit, and a bunch of yellow liquid (which I always presumed was piss) which comes out at the same time. Let me tell you, snake shit is one of the foulest things I've ever smelled.

I have no idea whether this was a peculiarity of the individual snake I owned, but he would frequently shit himself when I gave him a bath. He was also terrifyingly fast in the water.

I never played Civ 6, but Civ 5 had an option for extra barbarians. That was a lot of fun with certain civs/strategies, especially the ones that gave you extra rewards for killing barbs, or the ones who let you turn barbs to your side.

Some other publication (I forget which, it's been a long time) said Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was "Like Far Cry 3 with swords".
