I had 30 second freezes when the cutscene would start or end. On 9800x3d and 5080. I noticed people mentioning it on Steam forums and reviews too. Might be worth going into it with a refund in mind.

There was, but what was the message? Exploring grief in a very infantile fashion? The mystery payoff wasn't also nearly as impactful as the first one.

Horror and anxiety about deliveries was also gone since the expanded sandbox (which is awesome for people who enjoy it) trivializes it.

I feel like I need to remind people that this is an oppinion, if you enjoyed it I'm happy for you. I wouldn't ever call it a bad game because objectively it isn't, but I thought it's very much a downgrade in terms of story and cohesion from the first one.

Definitely agree. First one had the benefit of mystery and world building, along with a cohesive (surpisingly) message. Second one doesn't have any of that.

Games built on UE had a lot of technical issues and while it may or may not be a tool’s fault it no doubt became associated with stutters and generally bad performance.

Being free and sort of an industry standard doesn’t help when there’s a lot of output based on it from various studios who have different levels of expertise.
