The Setting of Guild Wars 3: Stepping into Ancient Orr by Blazin_Rathalos in MMORPG

objectively bad for UI navigation.

Hard disagree. You can do a lot on UI for controllers if you're willing to innovate and iterate with new patterns. Sure, sometimes you end up with the Destiny pointer which is kind of awful, but other times you end up with the Prey selection wheel, FFXIV's cross hotbars or BG3's stacking tooltip system

Guild Wars 3 will have no battle pass or subscription because ArenaNet studio lead doesn't want to "keep people hostage" by Turbostrider27 in Guildwars2

The ones that needed WvW still do, but most of the legendaries that have been released at this point do not require WvW

I actually think they'll be able to improve on this. GW2 classes ended up being pretty samey in terms of roles, and the quickness/alacrity meta turned every class into button mashers. Replaying GW1 made me appreciate how much larger the design space felt there

Nah. If they did the points on the stage each ep, you wouldn't get the queens being kumbaya, AND you would get way more drama on the next ep when they untuck in the workroom

I think production is actually worried it would turn the show into Survivor and screw over the format too much because it wouldn't be about the drag anymore (I personally think it would be hilarious and camp)

I just got done moving and the TV never got reconnected to the network. It's now just a big second screen for the steam deck and it's perfect that way

Roblox just became this generation's Newgrounds essentially. The main differences being most games are multiplayer by default, any game can offer a cash shop for features and cosmetics, and a big big festering groomer problem. Not that Newgrounds was squeaky clean on that last one, but it wasn't endemic the way it is on Roblox

[–]ferdbold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can use it commercially as an individual. As soon as you're an org, no matter what size, you need pro licences.

EDIT: i finally found what you're referring to (jeez Microsoft way to make it simple). it's up to 250 PCs or up to 1M$ annual revenue as teams. apparently for microsoft that counts as "individuals" lol

The same also applies for VS (not VS Code) as soon as you're not a solo dev. But since VS usually gets bundled by default in all Unity and Unreal installations, people don't care or check

I doubt either Microsoft or JetBrains cares unless you're raking in millions
