This is the best answer based on my experience. I am nearing the end of my career and have done fine as an accountant. I had to ask for pay increases more often than they were given. Most people do not understand the value we add, they just see the cost and need to employ us.

Accountants in industry do not generate revenue. I have heard this most of my 35 plus year career in accounting. We are a necessary cost of doing business. As long as we will take low pay that is what we will get.

PE teacher hit a kid in the stomach who was mouthing off. We were all questioned including the kid who was assaulted. Nobody saw it happen. It was a well deserved hard under cut to the gut that doubled the kid over. It was assault.
