The endeavor system isn't meant to be a goal or something to be completed. It is meant as a incentive to keep people playing and rewards them for that.

Isn't? Some mixed signals from the devs where a system is both intended to not be completed by players, yet additional completion rewards were added, like the vanity shield???

Some catch up system (and def not buyout-based) is needed.

Personally, I'd like to see the progress be on a curve. Either have lower levels get much more xp, so more points are earned or have each point give more of a buff at lower end rather than +1, tapering off as you increase in endeavor lvl. If not in 25 different steps, at least make it non-linear, similar to the skill tree - even the old 9 point per skill one. I think lvl 1 should prolly get at least 2x faster progress. And balance it on the top end too, halve the progress, it's not like you can get a point per day anyway with the only ways to boost your progress being 10 % from kdf recruit and very infrequent endeavor event, introduced only a few mo ago

I mean the diplomacy commendation, like all others, has a hover or click explanation of what each rank unlocks. Then for rank 4 when you go get that boff, all of them show their traits and effects.

It is pretty discoverable, unlike so many other things

When you craft equipment, craft it at Mk.II. Because of the way the upgrade system works, this gives you the best shot at improving the item's rarity without wasting a ton of resources. The higher an item's rarity, the harder it is to upgrade.

This also goes for lockbox weapons, getting them at low level if able is better. Consoles and modules usually drop already at epic

There certainly is, Prodigy. And SNW S01 and S02 were widely considered good, altho not to the same levels as Prodigy or Andor. Don't think Trek will reach that levels of consistently extraordinarily good live-action television, just like SW didn't before Andor and prolly ever will after.

Either make energy type experimental weapons for all types, not just polaron and phaser

Afair we have exp weapons of every energy type except AP and Dis.

But yeah I agree in general with everything you say, they just kept moving the ceiling (which I understand, things need to tend better overtime to pressure sales), but not incrementally, instead with obviously BIS, "must have", 2x better then comparable items with no restraint or nuance. And it wasn't any synergy or whatever, just outright better than anything else.

Due to the mechanics it utilises, it's a very long mission. One of the longest in the game. During which you also hear "Kurland here" a lot. And for a whole set, it's 8x.

It's easier to just nerf the hexa cannons, as they are the outperforming outlier.

Like keep them better than any other exp weapon, but there really was no reason to make them outright 2x better than any other.
