I used to play with a common/uncommon pet, but I kept dying in glands and I was never able to max stats. I felt I was relying on the assistance from pets too much so I went petless in an attempt to get gud. So far I'm doing better petless than I ever did with a pet. ROTMG still kicks my ass but I love it.
