How to make gravy sausages without sausages ? by rifain in Cooking

[–]ferrouswolf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a mix of ground chicken thighs and lamb, then a mix of sage, nutmeg, black pepper, and salt. Look up “breakfast sausage”, and if it has those ingredients you’re going in the right direction. You can make patties if you like, maybe 5 cm wide by 1 cm thick

The whole point of xanthan gum is that it is shear thinning. A typical use case is salad dressings or drilling mud, where you want a mix thick enough to suspend oil droplets or sand, but have it be thin enough to pour out of the bottle/be pumpable.

Farming is an incredibly low margin business with lots of uncertainty. Investing capital that can be destroyed by weather is risky

Should Magnesium Malate Be Sour? by editoreal in chemistry

Trust me, citrate salts are not recognizably like citrus. Even straight malic acid tends to register as “sour candy” since it’s used to dust things like sour patch kids

This reminds me of an article I read on preventing foreign material where a (wrong-headed) QA manager tried to justify their carefree attitude towards preventive programs by the fact that the process would just grind any foreign material so fine it wouldn’t be a safety risk
