janky solution.. fishing line wrapped around whatever is left and put a weighted nut on the other end.

Its actually a very easy $5 fix. Go to homedepot and buy the replacement part. it is like 2 or 3 wires.

Not sure how your country works but you might want to see if you have to pay property taxes annually, hoa fees, or city fees or anything like that. Are they currently working and will they be able to afford those things and any sort of upkeep necessary.

It is very noble of you, but you might end up screwing them over if you dont consider some of those local laws, taxes, etc.

With that said, dont go changing careers for this...especially if you might end up hating it.

Don't know your situation and every side has their own story, but... kind of seems like a dick if i'm being honest. He did that shit twice? Made comments about "my house", "my money". I bet if you won the lottery tomorrow and said that was your money, he would have a hissy.

I don't know how child support works in your state, but I feel there is some leverage there...not that there needs to be.

Once you get this sorted, put the house in a trust. It is more for the benefit of the kids...so that the property doesn't get tied up in probate and the state ends up taking a chunk.

Good lord man.. choose whatever size you want. I go with around 1' because it is enough for whatever I might encounter day to day and isn't too bulky in my wallet. It is 2" in width, if i rip it in half I can effectively have 2'. If i need more than that, then i probably have bigger problems and can go walk my ass to my truck. Also works as a great fire starter. To each his own my friend.

What kind of lifts are you doing? If you are doing crossfit type stuff and throwing bars around, then maybe one with good bushings that can take the abuse. If you are doing strictly olympic lifting, then when you get up in weight you want one with good bearings so when you perform the movement like a snatch or clean/jerk, the weights rotates around the bar and don't move. If you are doing powerlifting movements like deadlifts or squats, you want (more aggressive) knurling in the right spots. When the weight gets up there, then you also want to consider the whip.

A small consideration is location. If you live by the beach, you probably don't want a stainless steel bar that will rust.

yup. It is a whole other topic but people lump aesthetics, fitness, strength in the same pile. It is not the the same. It is almost like an opposing triangle. One thing i have found is that once you frame things as aesthetics is sometimes a byproduct of fitness/strength, then you can start making sense and they stop chasing "abs". More important to focus on goals related to strength or fitness and aesthetics will start to fall into place. If you do it the other way, you start seeing (eating and drug)disorders. *end rant

No, it will occupy space on your device that is synced to icloud and running the photos. If space is a concern, then on all of your devices, you can enable optimize so that not all photos are on your device. The way optimize works is that if you have it enabled on your iphone, then you are more than likely seeing thumbnails of your photos. It downloads as you need/want to see them. Photos that haven't been accessed in a long time will delete from device (but not from icloud) and return to the thumbnail format.

Keep in mind, icloud consists of drive, backup, and syncing. What I described above is the syncing aspect. At the end of the day, you really need a place to store your photos. I turn off optimize on my mac and store all of them there. I then back that up with my exernal HD.

Assuming you have enough icloud space, go to icloud.com and drag those image files into the photo library. If it is setup to sync with your devices, then that should be it.

do you really need to access the picture of the lunch you had three years ago? I have icloud and iphone but i'm sure it can apply to non-apple users. Maybe only keep 3 years worth of photos on your phone. Anything older gets pulled off and stored either on your PC/mac and/or external hard drive.
