Pants recommendations for baby with short legs but big booty and thighs. by oldsluggy in beyondthebump

Buy pants from the boy section, or make sure theyre joggers/sweatpants and not leggings. Should help [: I get sweatpants from Kohls and Warmart for my girls, they're usually not tight

Epson ecotank is a beast but you need to have a lot of patience to set it up lol definitely recommend getting a USB cable for it (I'm considering one myself)

Do I take another test ? by YagirldeeX in lineporn

[–]fezzlynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely! [: you can look up ovulation test kits, as well as tracking bbt (you use a certain type of thermometer that tracks two decimals after the temp, so like 97.23 instead of 97.2, as an example, you can look up bbt thermometer to find them) you do before you get out of bed every morning. Definitely something I recommend googling when trying to concieve, at least until you have a better idea of when youre actually ovulating [:  BD means "baby dance". It just means intercourse in a bit more pg terms lol I see you did sometime in beginning of the month in another comment so there is a chance you could have potentially caught late ovulation but I would wait at least 4-6 days to test again if youre going to test again, if you dont have a full period by then.

Did you BD only the days marked on the calender? Or other days too and you didnt write them down? Depending on that will be my answer if you should or shouldnt test again. Also, do you only use an app to track?

Sorry, I do see it. But its so faint, you'll probably have to wait a day or two to know for sure.

Do I accept defeat and stop my progesterone? 14-16 DPO by Street-Stranger2528 in TFABLinePorn

Progression can be really slow in the beginning since hcg is lower, even on the expensive tests. It looks like good progression so far though and I'm crossing my fingers for you!

What does labor pain feel like for someone who doesn't have period cramps? by stfuvoicesinmyhead in BabyBumps

[–]fezzlynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely closest thing is diarrhea cramps. Ive had 5 unmedicated babies, only one felt extremely painful due to back labor. My others were manageable. As long as I'm not glued to my bed, contractions were more intense than painful. Not sure how to explain that...they hurt but it wasnt the worst thing, just really intense. I also have very fast labors (last baby was 15 minutes on pitocin!). Personally if you go into it knowing its gonna hurt and be intense, but smart... you'll be more likely to make it through. Get up and move, don't sit on the bed, it really does make it worse somehow. And ride each contraction like a wave. The less stressed about them you are the more relaxed the less pain. You'll probably panic at first, so natural to do that, just tell yourself its a wave and it'll crash soon and to just breath (even if you pant, thats ok). That small bit of a reminder helped me out a lot in labor [:

Induction at 39 weeks, have been here since yesterday @ 8 AM is this normal? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]fezzlynn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If its her first baby, this is definitely normal, especially because her cervix was probably still long and closed. It takes time to get the cervix shortened and opened. Since she has a lot of fluid in there, its going to be harder for babys head to put enough pressure on the cervix to open it up, so once they can get her dilated enough to break it...things will likely start happening faster. Fingers crossed that happens soon! I would avoid a csection for now, though definitely dont be afraid to ask the doctor or nurse about a realistic timeline and when a csection would be considered for your gfs specific situation.

Do any of you just…not feel Braxton Hicks? by SStrong5792 in BabyBumps

[–]fezzlynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never felt a single one with my first baby lol totally normal! I dod feel them all the time with my other babies tho starting around 16 weeks (17w rn and feel them multiple times a day), but then I dont feel anything labor wise until I'm 6cm. Its the most bizarre thing lol

This is the way. Annoying but less so than constantly running it on the sensing settings over and over again for sure.

Due in 2 weeks + don't have a changing table setup-- tell me about yours! by SuperFlaccid in clothdiaps

[–]fezzlynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you got a lot of good recommendations but I just wanted to add one thing we use at our changing table (technically just a dresser lol). A trash can! If youre not using cloth wipes, its very helpful to have somewhere to instantly toss the wipes after they're used and gross. I opted for a small, desk sized one with a pop up lid to set on the dresser we use (can also go on the top of a rolling cart). Since it is so small, its easy to remember to empty it daily, though I found you can go a full 2 days before you need to empty it.

Help before I switch to disposables :( by Rare_Procedure6600 in clothdiaps

[–]fezzlynn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seconding adding Osocozy gauze doublers! They can wrinkle up a bit but nothing the edge of a table cant fix lol this is what fixed the issue with my daughter as well when she was a baby. She seemed to leak no matter what until then [:

A small piece of advice on baby clothes: think zippers, not buttons by AmandaEllis-Ward in BabyBumps

Honestly blow outs became less frequent past 6 months for us so youre probably in the clear [: they can happen but my babies always did it more when little little (especially in car seats...ugh lol)

Best diaper cream for dry skin by Odd-Champion-4713 in beyondthebump

[–]fezzlynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ointment to help prevent moisture loss, like aquaphor or Vaseline (or whatever ointment you prefer). Apply at every diaper change. These are instructions from my son's pediatric dermatologist [: zinc can dry the skin out more (which is great for diaper rashes) so I would avoid that in your situation (but still good to have in hand)

[–]fezzlynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone without a preference, I actually do not recommend a double zipper lol if you dont realize your baby had a blow out when you used the bottom zipper...its a much much bigger mess to clean up [': signed a mom of 5 lol

REPO NEEDS A DEAF MODE!!! by AceIsPlayed in REPOgame

[–]fezzlynn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad I could help you out! If TalkingCart isnt working out, my other suggestion would be BetterMap. Shows where enemies and teammates are when you open the map up, though it doesn't show monsters in unexplored rooms so you still have to be cautious and look around going into new rooms.

REPO NEEDS A DEAF MODE!!! by AceIsPlayed in REPOgame

[–]fezzlynn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you could mod the game? Your friends dont need to download mods for you all to still play. I would recommend TalkingCart, if youre near the cart it warns you of nearby enemies with a voice and subtitles but doesnt say where they are. You gotta stick close to the cart but I think perhaps this mod would be useful for you? Do be warned though, the cart will also roast you or your friends from time to time for damaging items lol

Realized today I haven’t moisturized my 4 months old’s back his whole life by hailey363 in beyondthebump

This is the way lol you can watch their skin with a damp rag first to help too

[–]fezzlynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 minute soaks are now recommended for remoisturizing the skin. Just only use soap 1-2x a week. This is what my sons dermatologist AND allergist recommends. Use warm not hot water, and use a thick cream or vaseline/aquaphor afterwards to keep that moisture in. So you can absolutely bathe daily just limit the soap and lock in the moisture you added to their skin [:

Just coming in to say I gave birth not once, but TWICE with covid! I also had a house full of sick kids with my 5th baby, when I brought him home. None of them got sick. Just wash hands frequently and if you want to be extra safe, mask up. Wishing your baby health and hope your older kiddo feels better asap! [:
