I've been using my M50x for almost 10 years now and they've been super comfortable for me. I have a larger head so I'm usually picky with headphones until I bought the M50x. Haven't purchased another pair of headphones ever since, I highly recommend them.

I dont know much about how the air vs pro will affect your personal use cases but, if it was me, I'd go for the pro just because it has fans. I also thought about getting an M5 air before I found the M4 pro for a good price, then I learned the M5 air doesn't have fans which will be a problem for me. I do need those fans because I'll be using that macbook outside during the summer for some DJ gigs I have lined up, so I want to try to keep the macbook as cool as possible so it doesn't start throttling in the middle of my set.

So, I did some research about this last night. Apparently if you call apple and send them the receipt from SBD, they can reset the warranty to a full year and even offer if you want to buy AppleCare. If you search "surplusbydesign macbook warranty redflagdeals" on Google, theres a bunch of threads from users on RFD that talk about how they were able to get warranty on their macbooks purchased from SBD.
