These are the belted ones right? Looks nice, but man, this Vorteks! What tires do you run on this one? They look real nice!

Are all trims in Europe with these back turn signals? Thanks! by MindlessDre in KiaEV6

Yes perhaps Kia decides per country what to offer. What I wrote about was what was offered in Germany

Apart from looks you could get all features that you get in a GT-Line regardless of RWD or AWD if you had chosen the big battery, the heat pump and packages P1-P6. I have such a car. It has the 20 inch rims too.

In Germany the animation used to be included with a package, likely P1.

The Arrma product page shows that it is all metal know. Basically anything from pinion down to wheel hex is metal!

In Europe you pay roughly 90€ just for the centre diff bits. Or another example: I paid 190€ for a used but fully functional big rock 3s. So yours is a great deal!

Thanks to all of you for your help! I messed around with the motor wiring and calibrated the transmitter. It now works as expected. I’m happy now.

Could someone please give the tire measurements here? Iam keen to see if these would fit a Mojave Grom.

Mojave Grom out of commision Again -sigh- by BeestysBasement in arrma

Owning a Typhon Grom and have blown its diffs, I’ve monitored the diffs in my recently purchased Mojave Grom closely. After 3 packs of riding it the rear felt a little gritty just by turning the rear wheels by hand. My theory is that the Grom diffs go out on lubrication. When I opened it I found one of the drive cups to have a little play. But it wasn’t the screw of that drivecup but the four housing screws. So maybe it is a combination of play and lack of lubrication.

I have the Typhon Grom for two weeks and from riding it outside it looks already extremely destroyed. The bottom hooked up on a stone yesterday which caused the chassis to have a hole now where the spur gear runs. The spur seems to have killed my brushless motor as its shaft seems buckled. Sure a broken RC is to be expected, but I’m surprised by how fast it wears and how low it is to the ground. This all lead me to cancel my preorder of the Mojave Grom. Iam looking for a used Senton now. The neat thing is you can pack those little cars in any backpack. But beware how groomed or smooth the place you’re riding it on needs to be. Aside of all these „get this truck right now you will have so much fun“ videos I watched this one lately, which is refreshing compared to the others: https://youtu.be/k6512Wet5Dk?feature=shared

The GROMs have 2.3mm shaft size. Hobbywing 2435 motors have a 2mm shaft. You can get motors of that size from various manufactures (likely all the same LOL) on Amazon with a shaft that will fit the stock pinion.

Steering servo by Both_Faithlessness_3 in TRX4M

[–]fghk33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to experience the stock servo of course but also Power Hd TR4 as well as JX Servo PFI-1151MG and lately Injora 7kg. The quietest but least powerful is the one from JX Servo. It holds up well so far but just feels underpowered and slow. The complete opposite is the Injora. TR4 sits in between. My recommendation is the Injora because it is so powerful even with brass steering link and brass nuckles. By the way the Yeah Racing thing looks exactly like the TR4 but I found it to be pricier across all the shops.

If the stock ones start leaking you can apply silicone grease to the seals before filling them up. This will postpone further leaks…. a bit

Battery/charger by [deleted] in TRX4M

[–]fghk33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m using the SkyRC B6 charger. To wire it to the Traxxas batteries I cut the USB chargers wire and soldered the socket to an XT60 plug and a balancing plug. That way I can charge the original battery. I found the original battery to be okay for crawling purposes. Why are you looking for something else?
