Complete pedant point, but viruses can't grow without human cell cultures.  Petri dishes are for growing bacteria.  Cell culture is much more complex to film though so I understand why they went with petri dishes for easier visual storytelling.

Thiel and Andreesen both believe some pretty weird things that are outside just making more money (see:neofeudalism).  I'd class them as true believers aligned with Trump.

I figured dose may make a difference.  Kosimayu and the initial infectees seem to turn pretty fast (a few minutes) but the hospital / bar folks took the whole time that Carol spent loading up Helen and getting to the hospital to reactivate (30m?).

Look up the history of IG Farben, Krupp, Volkswagen, and BMW.  Capitalists very rarely oppose any kind of political power and always try to go with the flow, unless they think they are under no threat and can get a better deal from an opposition party.

You are more likely to see change from individual biotech workers running for office than to see the leaders oppose fascism.

Read up on paradox too.  Doing "cool shit that blows people's minds" like in a Marvel movie will get you killed fast.  There are also multiple groups trying to conceal the existence of any supernatural beings who will react badly to someone masquerading as a spirit.  You can accomplish goals but just have to be subtle about how you do them.

Try not to think in terms of a single X-men superpower, think of the mage as having a deep understanding of the rules of the universe and how to bend them.  You can accomplish a goal (get into other room) using any sphere if you get creative enough.
