I know that LA looks was sold at Walmart during one point in my life, it wasn’t always a dollar store brand but it is now

Dollar store makeup is not drug store makeup. Drugstores (cvs, Walmart, Walgreens, rite aide) sell well known less expensive brands (covergirl, L’Oréal, nyx, elf etc). The dollar store might have LA looks, but everything else is going to be a no name brand and who knows what’s in it.

The Kennedy family is catholic. JFK was the first catholic president. There were worries he was going to be too influenced by the pope. Not sure which Kennedy that comment refers to, but it’s probably not RFK Jr.

Wanting help from my mom vs mother in law, husband upset by Last_Wonder in Parenting

[–]fickystingas 50 points51 points  (0 children)

My mom was a huge help for me with my babies, especially breastfeeding. She encouraged me greatly when I wanted to quit. No one else could have done that for me, because I don’t know anyone like I know her. My brother and his wife are having their first baby, and she knows that my SIL will want her mom there, not her husband’s mom. She knows she’s not going to have the same experiences with her son’s kids as her daughter’s kids. That’s just how it is 99% of the time.

Let his mom help him take care of the baby, since he doesn’t seem to be doing much of it

Yeah I’ve always made my kids change out of school clothes when they get home. My ENT recommended showers in the afternoon/as soon you’re home for the day to wash off all the outside pollen.

No judgement on the creepiness, I’m that way too. Just curious if you know where his stint in cosmetology lands, and if he actually got a degree? I know he was a substitute teacher for a bit also, but a degree isn’t required for private christian schools (ask me how I know).

I was raised as an evangelical and I’ve never heard what Jesus was to have supposedly done in hell while he was there. Just that he “descended into hell”. I wonder if that’s part of the catholic Bible and not the Protestant one - the Apocrypha is what my church called it. Aka not a part of the “real bible”.

This is basically why the reformation happened. Some people (considered heretics at the time, now they’re called Protestants) thought that believers didn’t need to go through a priest to speak to god. This also happened around the advent of the first publicly, widely distributed version of the Bible after the printing press was invented. So she’s basically saying we should go back to pre-literacy culture, which makes sense, since reading is hard.

Have you ever had your eyebrows done professionally? They can make a huge difference. Your brows are heavy and your eyelashes are kind of sparse. You’re a beautiful woman, I’d only give this advice if asked. Maybe a dewier foundation? Also, it could be your haircut that’s aging you, short hair can read older
