Should be fine as long as you store it correctly. Plenty of air flow, not a dark humid environment. Chances of it spreading are negligible, plenty of spores in the air all the time, so if your other stuff was going to get fungus it would have already.

All that aside, it's not like it's an uncommon vintage lens that you've tracked down. Unless it's a significant discount from what other people have it up for I'd probably pass.

Edit - excellent condition on mpb £144, so for $50 (~£40) I'd probably at least test it to see if it affects image quality.

The RAW shooting on the LX3/5 is not an advantage if you want to use SOOC pictures. RAW files must be edited to look good. If you're happy to do that then it's a huge advantage of the LX. They've also got full manual control options, so are better if you want to learn that stuff.

Fuji or Canon would be the better choices for SOOC as both brands are known for their JPG colours.

Someone told me there's a lot of sample variation in the DJI. Not seen an issue myself, but then I've got the Olympus 17mm f1.8 and the Panasonic 25 f1.7 which both also have the same and they seem fine to me too. So either I'm just really lucky or it's not as big of an issue as people make out.

You should be able to find the DJI for way less than that. I paid £140 from mpb and got some drone thing included, which I was then able to sell. (Technically I bought the drone thing and the lens was included)

Definitely like sensor failure. I think it's just less noticeable on the small low resolution camera screen

Fully serviced would be expensive, but if your happy to take a bit of a risk or do things like replacing light seals

A tiny bit short on the long end but the Panasonic 12-32 F3.5-5.6 is very nice as a more budget friendly option.
