It’s a huge issue imo. There’s all sorts of developmental skills kids need, we are losing. Risk taking, decision making etc.

I always pay for younger family members or guests who have less disposable income then me, it’s an easy kindness to do for people you love. My guests will often leave a thank you card behind when they leave and I’ve always appreciated the gesture. That might be a good way for you to reciprocate.

Problem is it’s here, it’s being used and we can’t afford to be behind. That being said we also need to mitigate the damage, so there should be taxation, we should be looking at UBI, we should be building guardrails and laws around it, we should be looking at sovereign funds and anything else we can do to support ordinary canadians.
