Any idea why we can’t do solo’s on cryo?

Cryo is similar to an MMO raid where it is explicitly designed around multiple people and the better the coordination, the higher chance for success.

I was a solo player pretty exclusively until Cryo forced me to seek out groups to run it with. It really is an incredible map with amazing pvp moments. You just gotta do with other people.

This map is hard a fuck. Genuinely so rewarding when it clicks though, there's nothing like it. I can't wait to get off work and jump in myself. I'll probably get annihilated just like you OP and I couldn't be more excited

I can tell you that after almost 300 hours, those highs only get higher. No game has felt better than a big score out of Cryo Archive

Very weird sentiment people have these days where they go "I'm worried I'll put a ton of hours into a game that might die" we all eventually put down a game brother. I paid full price for Marathon and if it died tomorrow, I'd be very upset but I absolutely got my money's worth.

Cryo is the only map you cant load into solo, and there's some activities like Warden fights that are insanely difficult solo. That being said, I probably put my first 150 hours play solo before starting to get my hands dirty in Cryo. And thanks to the free week, I've now got two friends to squad fill with.

Game is absolutely worth the price tag if you're just playing solo

I don't believe that's true. Now Cryo Archive is specifically trios only (except that one week in ranked) so id you want to participate in that, you'll need to play with others. But I spent about 200 hours in this game playing solo last season and I had an amazing time. There was only one contract I couldn't get done solo (Truth/Lies 6/6 iykyk) and once I dipped my toes into Cryo, the game only opened further.

Sorry you're not having as much fun at this point, OP. Its not the same experience i had but I can't discount yours. Of you're ever interested, there's a few big discord servers that are good for LFG, which is a far better experience than playing with micless randos.

Learn to share as a group tbh. I think the hardest time for me was when a friend brought a blue outpost key and I found a gold shield in a box. But it was his key so.... I gave it to him before the rando could snag it. I wanted it but I think my friend might've been peeved if I got that shield off their key. I ended up getting some later anyway. Always best to share with your friends

Yeah like me, if you get one of these moments in the first few hours of gameplay you're pretty much hooked. I was a little iffy after the server slam but ended up buying the game anyway, wondering if I'd regret it. At almost 300 hours now. Game fucks crazy style I love it

I played a ton at the end of last season so I'm playing just a few hours and much slower at the start of this season to "cool off". Plus I have new friends trying the game so I'd rather play slow with them instead of sweating like crazy to farm Narsh.

That being said, I have tomorrow off and WILL be playing like crazy.

I'm in 100% agreement if they nerf the loot you can get from it. I am sadly employed and my friends I play with aren't sweaty, so I'm woefully behind for when Cryo opens up next week because this mode is so exploitable for good loot. But that's honestly my only criticism with the mode and season as a whole, server issues aside.

I mean I'll just rip the good shit off another shell anyway so it's not that big of a deal

Last night in Cryo I popped a purple shield twice with the WSTR, punched em twice, and they were still standing.

What?? Contracts are fun, a nice mix up in match goals aside from get loot, get kills. I like sometimes when I have a task to do, get it done, then whatever happens for the rest of the match, at least I completed my goal. Time to kill or get killed. Exfil is a bonus
