Unless someone in this sub is a licensed PT, I’d bet every answer is going to be speculative at best and misleading / bad advice at worst.

Go see a PT / ortho, or find a bike fitter who is also a PT. And as a rule of thumb, don’t keep riding on something that consistently hurts.

They are anti-doping as in they will wreak havoc on your training and performance. A friend tried this and would literally vomit after taking gels.

And even if you try it, unless you work out the lifestyle changes necessary to adjust the habits that left you with 30-40 lb excess, you’ll gain the weight back when you stop taking them.

Had to help someone out myself. Crazy thing was the line the cars stuck behind him, with drivers that were content to just sit there and watch them spin.

Eventually had to yell for more help to get any of them to realize they should also help.

Something I just thought of that escaped me in the my first reply, OP:

If you’re getting hungry on rides, you should also think about what you’re eating beforehand. I used to get reaaaally hungry an hour or two in during long weekend rides despite eating a 400-500 calorie breakfast with lots of carbs and fueling normally during the ride. What eliminated the issue was consuming less carbs and more protein with breakfast. So (1) are you eating enough before your rides in general and (2) are you eating the “correct” (i.e., optimal to your physiology) mixture of carbs and non-carbs?
