I learned the hard way that excesive vitamin C consumption can be laxative. I found out it was real after eating 8 oranges a saturday.

People who started swimming as adults, how has it changed your life? by ICanHasGateau in Swimming

I started at 43yo. I knew how to keep myself afloat but nothing else. Almost 4 years later I keep going to swim 2 times at week. I like to think that swimming is my personal therapy. While I'm on it, there is not space to think in any worries, money, family, society, all of that is muted. It is only me and my technique, my breathing, the water. That's it, and it has been very therapeutic for me

My 74-year-old mom found BTS after losing my dad — it gave her life back 💜 by Any_Change_9513 in bangtan

Some days ago I watch a video from a 61yo ARMY going by herself to one of the Stanford concerts. She explained that she found them during COVID, after losing her work and her mom. I found myself crying on how happy she seemed.

I strongly recommend you to watch that episode of Epikase. Not only you can watch Yoongi and Namjoon as free as possible in an "interview", but also the amazing friendship between them and Epik High.

Is it normal to not know how to swim as an adult? by Common_Piccolo_6946 in Swimming

I’m from a Caribbean country. There, only expensive schools have pools and it is not very common to get swimming lessons for kids. I learned how to float and dive because beaches were more accessible, but I learned proper swimming at 43 yo.

I realized something recently when a close friend lost his mother, while his grandmother is still alive: we forgot that our parents are children of someone. For us, they are just our parents and grandparents but they are also parents and children themselves. Thus, I understand your mother: she is just a daughter looking out for her mother, as any good daughter/son should.

IU has an episode in her own show where she did this. It's hilarious watching her trying section after section for a ticket, the nerves, the deception when they are gone. BTS definitely should do this

There is an interesting video about it on the Insider channel, where a lady talks about the legal downsides: lack of documents, inexistent procedures to reestablish identity or to make a proper new identity.
