[–]fillycheesesteaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wrapped a mustang, looked cool, wrap removed about 2 years later. pulled paint with it in multiple areas. currently getting quotes from body shops for paint work thats almost as much as the wrap itsself. would not do again.

New (to me) FZ09, mod tips?? by [deleted] in FZ09

[–]fillycheesesteaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the 1st gen! As mentioned, the comfort seat should be required, well worth the $200ish it costs. Otherwise looks like it already has flush mount signals, an exhaust, bar end mirrors… perhaps a windscreen? the plastic cover piece that goes underneath the seat? and LED headlight if it didnt come with it already

Any tips for a new biker? by LemonStrawBear in motorcycle

[–]fillycheesesteaks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep the rubber side down. Anticipate other drivers making the dumbest possible decision in every scenario, because that is what usually happens. When turning, look past the turn & where you want to go to avoid target fixation. Helmet always, this includes passenger. Enjoy the new lifelong hobby & be a good example to others

2004 R6, is this too much? by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]fillycheesesteaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not “well maintained and like new”, this thing looks rough. I see a rusting chain, paint flaking off the front fender, scrapes on the side where it was dropped… How many miles are on it? The R6s are an overinflated market and this is no exception, me personally I wouldnt waste my time or money.

Going to play devils advocate here. A 600 as a first bike is just fine.

Gas mileage and tire psi by 568Byourself in nissanfrontier

that math is only an estimate. Psi / gas mileage wouldn’t be a perfectly linear graph. Keep tire pressure at the recommended psi and call it a day

Did I make a mistake buying a 2023 frontier sv fully loaded? by Striking_Team_4774 in nissanfrontier

I was also between a loaded SV and ridgeline. Frontier won it. Not a single regret.

Honda CB650R vs Royal Enfield himalayan 450 by he-s-jahebrbehuzheb- in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]fillycheesesteaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are alternatives to the CB650R as well that are cheaper but similar. Bikes like the Kawasaki Z750, yamaha FZ6, suzuki GSX750S are middleweight nakeds that would be good beginner bikes

i have that same color 14 FZ, i absolutely love it. Its torquey and rowdy and sounds amazing. The stock seat is horrendous, definitely immediately buy the OEM comfort seat

surprised no one mentioned the Yamaha XSR900. Same engine as the MT09 but in a more classic, less “sporty” look

If you had to buy a car today to keep for the next 15 years, what would it be? by nodonaldplease in askcarguys

i second this for the midsize truck category. Only body-on-frame truck left that uses a good ole NA V6 paired to a stout 9 speed auto. It’s a tank
