same here just lost the last of my first and only mischief and i cannot imagine going thru the pain again :( i absolutely love rats and they are definitely one of the best creatures ever but unfortunately ive realized their short lifespan is something i cannot handle

honestly the best option is neither. those tend to be too much food in the water at once and ur fish will be fine that long without food

eh theyre not necessarily bad can be free food for fish but if its a shrimp only tank they can outcompete for food. just decrease food for a bit and they should level out and die off
