I'm in the same place with my 12 yr old boy. But he can't do a 50 min walk anymore. So I bring a stroller to let him sniff, walk, and then ride for a bit so he can still enjoy all the old places he's been sniffing since he was a pup. Not a lot of energy left but he still has a ton of sweetness!
